I haven't read the anouncement...but free for all seems really unbalanced for some champs.
Probably still fun and might be a good way to try out new champs...so overall the more modes the better xD

Of course it is good for the game because:
1)This new mode was the thing that someone wished to see in this game/was the point to attract new players
2)It doesnt affect the game much (I mean you can play it or just stick with the old and fav modes)
So it is definatelly a good change

Free For All seems like a goofy concept, but I like the addition of Team Deathmatch. I've been getting bored of Quick Match and have just been playing 3v3 Elimination with friends.

I'm excited, because people play that way anyways.

This is the reason why I stopped playing Quick Match. Hopefully the addition of Deathmatch will change things for the better.

It's already available on the ptr if you want to try it, it's quite refreshing ^^

Hopefully that will take most of the players away from quickplay that just want to kill people and don't care about the objective.

Watched it and it looks like so much fun. The map is perfect as well. Someone mentioned having a quake type thing where you can change weapons with weapon spawns. So like if I'm mercy and I get reapers shotguns... Would be fun!

Overall I'm hoping comp gets better for this. Take the people going for kills away so I can enjoy doing an objective mode without raging. People are allergic to the payload ;-;

Joke aside might as well be a good addition to the game and it makes me more the jealous as I dont own it.
I'm fine. Couldn't be better.

Overwatch has been my favourite game for the past months but idk, the charm seems to start wearing off already. I'm not even crazy on grinding the event loots anymore. I hope future big updates like this will change that.

They should call it Overdeathwatchmatch, for shits and giggles.

Well, they ripped off every popular FPS game so far, so why not rip off some older ones as well? At this rate, in 3-4 years, Overwatch can really be the biggest eSport game, when it turns into "every FPS ever released" in one giant pack.
