Well I wouldn't doubt it, it seems that people in other countries that "want to make something make their lives" tend to pair that with wanting to go to America, I just feel bad that they don't know that there is nothing here that would increase someones chances of making it big. Honestly most famous people aren't from America from what I've noticed, I've just had the misfortune of being born here rather than somewhere like the UK or Canada.

the chances for each GA is based ONLY on the number of people entered.
you want higher chances? GA some more games, till you reach a higher lvl and enter GA with less people.
since you have proven your ability to google (wink wink) search statistics in SG and you will find some answers.
not P2W. if you don't feel like giving, don't. some people don't like leechers (or whatever). their problem, not yours.

My first giveaway was after about 1k entries. Its all RNG. Gifting games doesnt guarantee that you will win. I mean, there are plenty of leechers who dont give a single game and are in the double digits of wins.

I haven't gave anything away before first win because I didn't believe that somebody can really give away sometimes expensive games. Now I gave away only one game more than I won and probably when I will win I will do another GA.

Oh look, it's this thread again. Fun fact, the human brain is so wired to detect patterns that it will also see them where there are none. That's why cherry-picking data points is such an effective way to convince people to believe in utter lies. I can't be arsed reading the whole thread so what I'm about to say may well have been said already...anyway...
There's definitely no P2W going on here, most of my wins have happened at times when I don't have GAs going of my own, so there's that...
Also, I'll be man enough to admit that I do get a little disappointed when I don't win certain GAs, mostly Wishlisted games of course but there have been a few non-WL games that I feel I just HAVE to enter GAs for them (like Muffin Knight) and I can't help but feel a slight twinge of disappointment when they pass and I don't win...mostly though, the GAs I enter are Because Potato GAs, just to spend my points. That doesn't mean I want those games less, it just means it doesn't bother me if I don't win them...yet...

It's not really pay to win, but you do have better chances if you give games becasue you increase in level and there are fewer entries. Or join a group and have to give at least one game per month.
But seriously, are you that cheap that you can't buy a bundle and give away some games? Especially the ones on Daily Indie Game where if you beat the average you get a 2nd bundle free.

Best way to spend your time in steamgifts is enjoying. Reading interesting stuff, sharing your thoughts with the people, meeting e-friends, posting cat gifs... Giveaways are a succulent incentive, but not the only way to enjoy steamgifts. It took me time to realize that. And damn, I now spend too much time in this forum xd

Don't worry it is not pay to win. The results and RNG game is legit.. trust me I know. Same story as you. Only maybe a little bit more different-er.
Think of this place as basically like a casino for games.. you win some you lose some.. the only good difference is you can't lose money unless you opt to buy or pay for some games and give it out for free. But that is on you.
Also what casino do you know of that hands out free quarters to play the games every now and then even if you keep losing some ;)
Yeah and like some others have said.. root yourself as much as you can into if you want into enjoying the site and the community such as this forum and this forum post.. and get to know others maybe talk chat, share some stories or play some games even if you both have the same game in your library.

Winning once every 350 entries is actually pretty much perfect odds. Look at your wins, most have around 300-400 entries. Look at your giveaways, same kind of numbers.
If you take that to estimate that the majority of public giveaways get around that many entries, it means on average you would need to enter that many times to win once.
Or, to put it simply, 1/350 chance of winning.

So I've been a member of this great community for about 6 months now, I've given away 13 games and won 3.
I mean I have won 3 times. I have entered 1,053 giveaways and won three times, so that's like winning 1 out of every 317 giveaways I've entered.
Honestly, that's not really what has been bugging me though. I come here almost every day at least once a day, with the exception of the last week or so since it's summer and I've been out doing things lately, but I enter as many giveaways as possible every time I come here.
I know people may say I have no right to be upset considering this is a free platform and all but honestly I'm pretty sure it isn't. I say this because the 3 giveaways that I have won, were literally all within a week or two of when I was giving things away. It has been 4 months since I've given anything away, and 4 months since I've won anything. It has however been 12 minutes since I have entered anything, and 4 months ago, I had only entered maybe 150 giveaways, so basically this site seems to be one of the things I despise most when it comes to video games, pay to win.
I'm not saying that I will stop coming here, and entering giveaways, but I can pretty much guarantee that I probably won't be coming here to give things away, but that's just me.
Anyone feel similar? Different? Bored? Hungry?
Edit: I really don't care about winning I just wanted people to talk to me, and it seems to have worked.
Even if it's just a bunch of people telling me to quit whining, it's still people talking to me.
