IndieGala now offers Trades for unused keys in your library. It is currently beta. CLICKIE THE LINKIE

You can select any unused key that in your IG library and send it to trade. You can select up to 5 titles you want to trade for.
Also, they require your steam account to be linked..

How do you feel about it?

EDIT: This poll has some mistakes. Its not first retailer who offers key trades. Groupees have them for long time. There is also one missing o, so here it is O

AWESUM! Finally first key retailer to offer key trades!
Meh, you can only trade unused keys...
Great! Now I can trade all free games I got from IG for some AAA titles
My spoon is to big!

IndieGala trades, meh, they always did it wrong. With previous trade forum, it was awful.

I already made a thread about this yesterday, but it got buried.

This new trade feature still isn't working for me.

True. I wasn't in the mood to give mine some flair.

It's no prob. I hope more people discuss this, though.

I just checked Groupee's stuff, they are allowed to see the keys and even to add keys from somewhere else. At least IndieGala gave it minimal thought and you can only trade unrevealed keys. I would like to see these systems flourish though, it could make key trading not only feasible but also legit and convenient.

It looks like it could use some work...
It's too hard to line up what you have with what other people want, vice versa... 5 things you are willing to trade for doesn't seem like enough options. What are the chances, the person wanting the game being traded, will just so happen to have one of those 5 games... (I see some people commented they were willing to trade for anything they didn't have, but I don't know if there is a way to communicate you have something else they might want.)
I clicked on a game I wanted, and there were three games the person trading had requested. Under one of those three games, there was a box, which said Place Your Offer, but I don't own an unused code for that game, which seemed confusing. (I really wanted to click on it to find out what would happen, but that might be bad so I didn't.
I didn't actually try it, so until I do I don't think I'll see exactly how it works. It seems more fun and less confusing to just give my games away here and make someone else happy by allowing them to win a game (plus build up CV :)
Still... It's not a bad option and still Beta, hopefully it will get better.

Plus how does everyone feel about connecting Indie Gala with Steam account. I am pretty sure I've done it before back when you had to redeem through them rather than get keys (I'm happy they went back to keys!)

I think they may have updated the rules.

I didn't notice this little detail before:

You can only trade BUNDLE games bought on Indiegala (from July 2015 onwards)

That explains why practically all the games it previously said I could trade, I now cannot.

I"ve just tried a trade, but it did'nt work. :(
It says the trade was successful, then shows me a key, but when I try redeeming it, it was the game I've put to trade. -_-

Really indifferent to the indiegala trades section... barter.vg is love, it's all I need.

yes, only thing barter.vg needs is more users :D
(and being prettier would help, I guess, but it's the inside that counts)

They seem to keep adding bad versions of features from SG. I wonder if it works the other way around and if SG were to start selling bundles they'd be awesome?

Good idea, terrible implementation. There is no way to view the status of your offers, or even that you MADE an offer. Even if you just reload the offer page, it forgets that you already placed an offer for it. There is no way to only see offers for games you don't already have in your library, or a way to only see offers asking for games in your library that are available to trade. ALL of this the bare minimum required for a trade system.
