Xbox controller for BO2 on PC

General consensus among PC gamers in general is that FPS games are better played with a mouse and keyboard than with a gamepad.

Don't use a controller for competitive play.

I use the controller only when good aiming isn't needed as multiplayer games or using an sniper.

It's just you. There are certainly games on PC that are better played with a controller than with a keyboard and a mouse, BlackOps 2 is not one of them (I'm not even sure if it is at all possible to play that game with a controller).

if you use a controller on BO2 PC multiplayer you're going to have a bad time

While controller is great for games like Batman, it's difficult to keep up with other people on multiplayer in FPS games, unless it's co-op. It's because their implementation of the controller in PC is not as solid as in the console. I think they try to emulate the mouse with the controller. It feels different to me as well.

I honestly thought at first that this thread was about Blood Omen 2, in which case I was going to reply with;
"Blood Omen 2 does sort of support the Xbox 360 controller, but the triggers don't work. The game is perfectly playable without them. But if you really need use of the triggers, I'd suggest using Xpadder."

why would anyone who has, and has played shooters on, a pc, ever want to start playing them on a console?

now im fine with completely agreeing that some games just play better with a controller than a mouse+kb, but any shooter orientated game is definately not one of them.
