I won a ga. The key isn't included so the gifter must send it on the form or steam.
The problem is I noticed that the creator of this ga has been suspended for 2 weeks.
I should contact support? It falls under "other" so I may get a reply after the suspension xD
And after 1 week he will still be suspended.. I leave it blank and wait the suspension to be lifted?
I'm uncertain as to what to do as it's not really in his control (I think) since he is suspended.. I also don't know what suspended accs can see or do.. He was active 2h ago but as I have never been suspended I don't know how it works :/

So.. What the best solution here? :/ Or the right one?

Edit: Solved. I can wait to mark it as anything pretty much to infinity (unless the creator requests feedback - I re-read the rules + comments)

So for now I just wait the suspension to be lifted and then it remains to be seen.

Thanks all!

Just wait till the suspension is over. While suspended nobody can do anything but read the forums on this page.

Actually suspended users can't even read the forum, they can only contact support, that's all they're allowed to do while logged in.

They can read if they’re not logged in.

Still seems like overkill to me, I got suspended for the first time a few months ago and was shocked by how devoid of stuff the page was.
I haven't used this site while logged out in years TBH, too used to being a user.

You can leave it blank or mark as "not recieved" after the first week. Either way you can change it to "recieved" when/if they send the gift.

Until the suspension is over, not much that can be done other than wait.

I'm mostly asking not to not wait but to be fine on my standing here.. As far as I know I HAVE to mark something after the 1 week. Unless I'm misunderstanding something on the rules

No, you have to wait the week. It doesn’t affect your standing at all while waiting.
I was suspended once for a couple of days and a few giveaways closed. I wouldn’t want someone being impatient just because I couldn’t provide the key straight away.

(and yeah above all my first thought was "well.. he is suspended.. he can't send it anyway.. so let's see how noone gets in a fuss)

thanks :)

So that's good news. I wait it out and then we see :D I just wanted a few opinions as it's the first time something similar happened to me and I wouldn't like to get in "trouble" over not understanding if I have to mark it or not, wait, etc

After 1 week is over you can mark as not received.
you can write on the comments of the GA that you marked it as not received for now and would change it to received after their back and sent you the GA.

After marking as not received you are able to participate in GAs for the same game once again... Which might be something you want to do if you really want the game and feel like the creator would be not trustworthy... They got suspended after all, who knows for what, or they might be never coming back if they're frustrated.

Once I won a GA and the creator didn't come online for over a month. Guess life happened.
I just marked it as not received after a week and wrote them that I would gladly change it to received whenever they're back. So after a month I got my key and changed it accordingly.

Nope, not at all. Last Christmas I won a gift of a game that only came out in September this year. I left the giveaway unmarked for all these months without anything happening.

Either way you can change it to "recieved" when/if they send the gift.

This advice is a bit off, so I'm going to run through the factors involved, as I understand them:

First, the site changed it so that after a set duration (3 months?) you can no longer change feedback, if it has been set.
Second, if you leave it unset, you'll need to leave a comment in the giveaway stating the circumstances, if you don't want the GA creator to possibly be able to sneak in a reroll due to possible staff assumptions of lack of winner acceptance.
Third, if you leave it unset rather than marking it Not Received, you'll be blocked from joining new giveaways for the game in question.

As a final consideration, it's considered far more polite to leave a giveaway unmarked on feedback if the GA creator has circumstances (and speaking from both sides of that, it's basically always an appreciated gesture).

Thus, the "ideal" path to take with a giveaway you can't claim is to leave a comment in the giveaway (it's best to do this as a new comment rather than as a reply to an existing comment), and then leave the giveaway feedback unmarked. Or, if you want to try your chances at winning the game from a different creator, or if you simply feel it's been too long since the GA creator has been available, you can mark the giveaway as Not Received and, at your discretion, perhaps also leave a polite comment in the giveaway noting that your marking wasn't done with lack of consideration.

Finally, if you want to diminish the risk of issues with an unset feedback as much as possible, you can choose to put in an Other support ticket explaining the situation, in addition to leaving a giveaway comment. This'd also be your only option if you're blacklisted and can't post directly into the giveaway.
