So I've been seeing more and more group recruitment topics and got to wondering how many you actually belong to.

Not how many you are active in or the names of them. Just how many.

0 groups here.

Would be interesting if there was a CV level for groups and a CV level for public. I find it weird how people can only give games to their friends then enter all the public giveaways without giving back to the public.

I actually have no idea... 2 maybe serious... But all the trash groups start to fill up. And I have contributed there too ;D

EDIT: Something like 100-150 groups with any giveaways on SG.... I messed my count at around 130 with 50 or so left... But many of them are too big to considered for SG. Real figure is probably 30 to 50+

I haven't got the slightest idea. I mean, it's easy to check the exact number of Steam groups I belong to, obviously, but I don't know how many of them are related to SG. Probably a couple dozen, maybe considerably less, maybe more (yep, I've had a spree once). At the same time, the number of groups I'm occasionally active in (be it giving or taking) is definitely below 5, and there's only one group I'm constantly active in.

seems it's the trend to leech.
make a group, set yourself to admin, put the minimum requirements right over your stats (or just ignore yours since you're the admin!) and enjoy watching people coming to you to "donate" games. 👏👏👏

i think i'm in 1 group but it's been inactive for a while.

No idea. I've joined groups I were invited to in the past, but never joined any with activity/ratio requirements, so I'm mostly inactive in all of them. Not even sure which groups are SG gifting related and which are not.

If I were to guess, I must belong to ~20 SG-related groups, including groups that do not revolve around gifting, also groups that are dead or serve no use... okay, maybe more than 20. Who knows.

i am in 1000 groups on steamgifts, in fact I have to keep leaving some to join others, but a majority aren't specifically for here, I am active in 3 specifically for giving gifts here, though there are a lot of others that do giveaways here sometimes. I guess it is complicated.

For SG giveaways? I think around 6 or so. The rest were ones I had to join for gleam or similar stuff. And I'm just too lazy to go leaving them all so they add up after awhile

The only SG-related group I'm in is Unlucky-7, as a gifter, but I'm not very active even there.

(Total groups I'm on is 5: Unlucky-7, Indiegala and 3 official Steam groups.)

Looks like both in the thread name and in the main post you mistyped "belong" as "beling" ;)

Currently I belong to 36 groups, but since there's no possibility to be in a group and not show its announcements in your Steam activity feed, I'm currently thinking about reducing that number to get rid of some spam...

Thanks for that spelling heads up. 99% of the time I catch that. Happens when you have big, muscular (yeah right) fingers and a small keyboard sometimes.

15 groups on Steam.
Groups for giveaways in the first place: Playing Appreciated and Unlucky 7, main focus is to give.
