Well, my surgery was a important surgery. If I didnt have it, there was probably a 95% chance I would of died.

Heart - Tetralogy of Fallot 2 years old. Pericarditis 14 years old.
Right foot - Osteochondritis dissecans 10 years old.
Nose - Septoplasty 22 years old.

All of them but the Pericarditis were scheduled. On that one, I've arrived at the ER during the night and went through surgery at the next morning.
Will probably have another heart surgery later this year.

i wake up with my nostrils blocked by dry mucus and my nose just gets "air, you shall not pass" when breathing warm air,is this cause of Septoplasty or polyps? just asking maybe you know

Septoplasty is actually the name of the procedure. This is the condition: Nasal septum deviation
Can't tell for sure, you'll need to do exams to know that.
I had that symptom too. Had to use nasal sprays almost every day. Left side was 86% obstructed.
The surgery helped a lot but I still have a little deviation and the doctor want to do another surgery.
I'll probably skip that because the recovery was a pain in the ass. Two weeks breathing only through my mouth and too much bleeding :D

Had one due to adenoid hypertrophy. Quick stuff, but I couldn't eat solid foods for the good part of a week.

And I love solid food :|

I had one. They surgically implanted deadly lasers in my mouth.

Why not your eyes? That way you wouldn't have to turn your whole head to cut people in half. Lazy murder FTW.

That way I wouldn't be able to put on my sunglasses to make "Deal with it" expression while blowing shit up. It is the vital part of "deadly laser" concept.

eye surgery since i was an idiot with fireworks they had to make a small incision in my eye take out some of its fluid fill it up with gas and then stitch it up afterwards i had to stay looking at the floor for 2 weeks so the gas could press against the torn part in the back of my eye (i still cant see completely with that eye)

Appendicitis and Tonsillectomy when I was 9-10 years old, were on the same day. My mom told me that I was rolling in the floor like I was about to burst. I got to eat ice cream right after that though!

Got 2 wisdom teeth removed, got 4 stitches on my gums, later I've got 2 incisors removed and went through the hell of braces D:

I had a turbinates surgery no big deal, It was annoying as hell, while the doctors "do their stuff" you get a itchy sensation, like you're about to sneeze D:

Other than that I've been 2 times in the Operating theater watching the treatment of an abdominal aortic aneurysm it was awesome, it was an open surgery, I almost fainted the first time :D yay medschool XD

Might be a bit personal, but here I go: Gonads, twice. Yeah make fun of me but I was in fucking pain. I was fully anesthetisized during the first one and for the second I had a needle in the back and my lower body went numb. I could only feel upwards of my ribcage pretty much but I was fully conscious..that was really, really weird. But thanks to modern surgery I have a healthy young boy at the age of 3 and another baby is on the way. Go surgery! yaay

I had Something horrible happen to me. Read the wiki, it should clear it up. But what they don't tell about you is the pain. I was walking down a flight of stairs when it happened and the pain made me curl up into a ball like I had just been kicked in the nuts by some pro soccer player wearing steel capped boots. I fell down the stairs and that's how I landed in hospital. They asked me what had happened and after I told them they immediately called an urologist. After about 10 minutes of examination I was already rushed off to surgery.

I don't think you need to tell me about the pain. I can imagine it just reading your sentence. LOL
Sucks to be on the stairs at about that time though.

almost. when i was 13 my mum noticed my penis was developing too much so she researched about a transplant with a specialist. at the last moment she discovered that the surgeon was actually going to use his very member for the transplant, so she understood why he was pushing so hard in that direction and luckily enough the transplant was aborted. some years later i eventually had a reduction, and the part that was removed was treated with titanium oxide and is presently being used as a bat by the baseball team of a local school. now i'm fine when wearing my tanga.

and good thing you treated it with titanium oxide, just imagine common wood ... every broken bat would give me a unpleasent feeling in my man parts if i would be you. :P

Brain aneurysm. They stab needles near your groin, then from there lead a coil up to your brain... it does quite hurt.

Glad you're okay. I had an uncle randomly die at age 36 from a brain aneurysm. My uncle by marriage also had one, but they managed to catch it in time and he's still here 15 years later. It's scary shit.

Yeah, really bad thing it is. can be hard to detect too. Worse goes for those who have to undergo the real, heavy surgery, the direct skull opening kind. Leaves tons of sequels too.

yup, a couple.
here is the picture of a x-ray of my back
i have some hardware keeping 2 vertebrae fused together after a bad car wreck. bout a 15-20ish hr surgery.
on feb 22nd, I have to go in for a pre-op thing so they can take my blood just in case something happens when I have my second surgery on my back on march 1st. I have had 2 other very minor back procedures that they tried to go in and burn the nerve endings in my lower back.
I have also had my tonsils out when i was around 13, not too bad but still sucked.

i'm curious why you started a thread on this, are you going to need surgery soon?
