Is it against the rules to put up a giveaway if I win a game from another giveaway website that doesn't have the rule of "Activate the game after you win it"?

Or is that against the rules of this website? I did not find anything related in the FAQ, or I did not find it.

Thank you.

For example: you won something on Steamcompanion which doesn't have any rules, and you want to give it here?
you can. this site has rules for it's own. just make sure the game works. it's your respobsibility

I think you should take another look at the rules on that other site you referenced, it does require you to activate the game on the account you used to enter the giveaway, just like here, although I am unaware of the consequences of not doing so (it says you will be banned from the giveaway section for violating any of the rules, but that seems a bit harsh if it is permanent):

  1. You must redeem the game on the account you entered with. Do not trade it, or sell it to others.

I might be wrong in this, but I've read a bit and saw similar things said. There shouldn't be any rules here, but expect the other site to punish you if it's against their rules.

Edit: I was typing. TinyPurple beat me to it.

It's fine, but I don't recommend it if it's a key. You want to be absolutely sure that they game can be activated to the winner's account.
Also, it seems pretty greedy to enter giveaways for games you don't want, only to try to cheat your way into raising your CV. Just a personal opinion.

+1 to this.

Technically, it's not against any rules. Ethically/Morally...different story.

Also, like jbond said if it's a key the original GA creator could easily drop the key somewhere or trade it away to someone before you give it away. If that happens, you're stuck having to buy the game or take the sanctions here for breaking the rules.

As far as I can tell it isn't against the rules. But if you're not interested in playing the game, why would you enter to win it? Everybody that really wanted to play that game had their chance of winning it lowered because you entered. It's kind of selfish, really.

Well yeah I guess, it is more safer to have purchased the game to begin with I guess, if the key doesn't work, it just creates more trust problems.

Also, just as in theory, because sometimes there are entries for the same game more than one time, and I enter them to rise the win rate, but what if I win it twice?

If you win it twice then you activate one win and contact the person who you won the second giveaway from and ask him to re-roll as you can't activate the same game twice on your account and if you don't activate all your wins you get banned.
