Hello! I've created a little retro platformer game and with the help of friendly SG community managed to polish it and release it on Steam back in late 2016. Since then, I've held a few of these marathons/events/puzzles in order for all of us to have fun and at the same time to give back to SG members who supported the game by giving them the chance to win some nice prizes. You're welcome to check out previous events, tasks that were required, gifts, winners, hints...
We'll try to speed-run the game for the first time ever in these community events. Speed-running is when you're trying to rush through the game in the shortest time possible. Current world record for this game is 17 minutes and 51 seconds. I'm not expecting you'll try to beat that, but I've set a much slower time to be our entrance bar - 1 hour. I've also prepared bunch of very detailed guides on how to record your video, how to set up timers... Of course, there are other ways for you to participate and have fun, even if you don-t have the game and never played it. Let's dig in!
Regular train closes on February 25th!

Added a few bonus giveaways during the day. Again ;)
Added Goetia as a bonus giveaway for everyone who submitted a video (speedrun or regular). Find it from the Mortal Kombat X giveaway.
Added the last secret bonus to the fast train (access from engine/Prey giveaway).
Added 6 bonus giveaways to the first comment table.
Who knows, this might be a thing on the next GDQ! :D Gl with the event
Seems it is a good game if you want to be a world record holder on speedrun.com. Next to no competition.
Or if you want to win a giveaway ;)
Who wants giveaways if you can have fame and glory?
Yep, telling the ladies "I hold a world record on speedrun.com" really drops panties.
Thank you & bumpelibump! 💙 😃
Nice thread and worthy of a bump! Best of luck with the event and the game :-)
this is so cleverly done...
also, nice little ones in that regular train
Some first-hand info from someone who's already attempted a speedrun of this game:
Ah yes, I'm counting your score for the participation and will invite you on Feb 1st when I set up the giveaways for the main train.
And my findings are the same, ~40 minutes for a first try if you've played the game before, and that's with a lot of dying and playing slowly even.
Yeah, I think I spent upwards of 5 minutes trying to make that very last jump towards the door that leads to the final boss. But I'm a changed person now!
This is a cool idea, best of luck all.
Time trial ....It is a presence that interferes with my sleep recently.
Finished in 41:14. Nearly tilted on one level in the castle. Thanks for another fun event, can't wait for GnC 2!
That wall of lowering spikes is a cruel mistress, yeah. Cheers for making it through!
Thanks, I was starting to get pretty frustrated at that level but decided to keep on going :D
GZ! I'll invite you on Feb the 1st when I create the giveaways for that train.
How easy/hard you'd say it was to get time under 1 hour? How many attempts did you need? Asking for others who might try but are afraid they'll be... slow.
It only took me one try. I'd say it was fairly easy, I don't think I played particularly well, and I spent quite a lot of time on a single level just from dying over and over again. I have played the game before though, but I really didn't remember much so I was still lost at times.
Another event, thank you! Collectors Achievement
Hey, can you fix the link please? Thanks!
Sure. Sorry for this!
do i have to buy the game to join this
The entire regular train does not require that you've played the game, it's just a regular jigidi/ITH puzzle thingy.
Bump again. :)
