Feb 23 2022: Original post

As a Russian-speaking Ukrainian currently living in Poland, I have a complicated relationship with my home country. I have relatives and friends hailing from Russia; half of my family speaks Russian. Everybody in my school in Kyiv (i.e. Kiev) spoke Russian back in the early 2000s. It is true, there are millions of Russian-speaking Ukrainians. But just so you know, Ukraine is not a part of Russia; it was not created by fucking Lenin. Many Ukrainians have never been and do not want to go to Russia or be its part. The language vs. culture question is absurd. The Russian language was forced upon Ukrainians for centuries, and still, Ukrainians are different culturally. The mad tsar Putin is literally a blackmailer who imposes fear and anxiety on the entire Ukrainian nation. Everyone I know back in Kyiv prepares alarm briefcases with water and medicines, just in case of bombing, or plans to move, as I did after 2014. This is a fucking nightmare. I have anxieties of my own; I cannot stand this shit anymore. Please! This is an awareness thread. You have to know.
Ukraine is not Russia and does not want to be a part of it!

[Video on Twitter] - Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov had clearly given up on the idea of defeating Ukraine militarily. In his desperation to scare the West into stopping its support, he resorts to nuclear threats—but even fellow propagandists are sick of it & say he lost all sense of reality.

Solovyov complains that Russia is labeled a terrorist, while he proposes to use nuclear weapons. Not sure that his proposal could improve Russia's image.
He must be one of the few who cares about sham referendums since he spams "our territory" a lot. Also, at 6:03, he provides good material for memes.

More than 6,500 civilians have died since the war in Ukraine started

At least 6,595 Ukrainian civilians have been killed and 10,189 injured since Russia invaded the country in February, according to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
Among those killed were at least 415 children, 2,575 men, 1,767 women and 1,838 other adults whose gender is yet to be identified, according to data released Monday's figures.

This is unverified, but just in case. [Twitter]

Russia is getting ready for 2nd wave of mobilization in January. The plan is to draft 500,000-700,000. The 300,000 drafted before - already killed/wounded/demoralized.
Russians are starting to be quietly unhappy about authorities - they can't understand losses in praised army.

All these pundits know as well, how can you declare a piece of land yours if there is currently still fighting going on over it.

The next exodus of Russians is about to happen then pretty soon.
Another few million escaping all over the place.
Russia aiming hard at trying to retain the lands that they have.
With another round of mobilization I see the Ukrainian strategy becoming one of making Russia bleed people hard until Russia breaks from within.
But hopefully Ukraine can get across the river take Kherson Oblast back and be in a position to threaten Melitopol and Crimea before the next round of mobilization happens.

Russian response to US

ahh, now they care about the attitude towards the losses of families in the war. Somehow didn't care about even bringing the dead home after having thousands killed. But of course now when they can try to make political shitstorm they will resort to this card. This actually just highlights how pathetic and inhumane kremlin is. One thing is not to care for your soldiers lives..... kind of natural for russians, but the other thing is to actively use this for propaganda. It just shows they are very well ware of what is going on and that they are very deliberately using the fact their citizens are dying only for their own good.

Russia is FINALLY declared a state sponsor of terrorism. And even if it is only symbolical, at least we have moved forward in having some balls to stand against Russia. It is clear that this is not even a war - it's outright terrorization of Ukraine and it's citizens. And the more Russia denies and plays the victim here the more they should be held accountable to show that the civilized world of 21st century does not tolerate such a regime. And as a clear sign to other sympathizer countries that dick measuring contest of murdering people is not how you move forwards in the modern world.

And even if it turns out problematic to get putler in the trial for war crimes, at least it is written in the history that he turned Russia into a terrorist state and turned it against the world.

If I remember correctly, interacting with a sponsor of terrorism in any way is a big no-no. Hopefully this declaration will finally stop these covert transactions, or at least make them very hard to maintain, but since UK isn't part of EU anymore I'm not so sure. Hopefully EU and US will have a word with UK.

The strongly-worded resolution was overwhelmingly approved on Wednesday afternoon with 494 votes in favour, 58 against and 44 abstentions, during the monthly plenary session in Strasbourg.

58 against and 44 abstentions. These assholes, I wonder what their nationality and their political parties are.
I found their names there. I have also checked elsewhere, it seems correct.
Oh shit, 25 of these assholes are French. The special mention goes to the French political party 'Rassemblement national' with 17 votes against. Of 79, 25 against or absent. France did poorly in this vote.

Your mistake. You should read carefully. "Of 79 (French seats in the European Parliament), 25 against or absent." This gives you a hint that the RN only has 19 seats in the European Parliament.

They did not get a majority of votes in the last French European elections. Only 23,34 %.
Their list = 19 'Rassemblement national' + 4 'Reconquête' (another far right party). You can say that their list was in first place in terms of votes. With 200,000 more votes than second place. (SOURCE + Additional)

That being said, the people most likely to be on TV talking about nuking another country happen to be the same people who support Russia in this war, so I have not heard anybody at all talk about nuking Russia.

Those who oppose Russia's invasion want to keep providing arms to Ukraine and sanctions on Russian oligarchs and politicians. Basically continue as we've been doing.

Those who support Russia's invasion think we should stop helping Ukraine entirely and just let Russia take it.

Nobody on either side talks of USA participating in the war directly. Nobody wants that.

The thing with West is - sure you can have such a moron screaming left and right. That's what free speech gives you. Alex Jones for one. The moron in the end gets faced with almost a billion high lawsuit.

But the huge point is that west isn't that obsessed with military. Ok, this is an arguable point, but even with the huge amounts of money being poured into the military, it is widely not that supported and it's just accepted for what it is. We are not brought up thinking that everyone wants to attack us. Many people don't want to go to service and dislike NATO bases and forces being stationed in the countries.

We don't need endless parades, chauvinistic history memorials, highly decorated military personnel. All that is very much secondary and only people who are patriotic go into service to serve the country. When we look at east - China, NK, Russia, we see overly huge obsession with pasts glory, they need to have parades, they need to showcase the weapons and perform warning shots even at the expense of people dying from poverty. Is US similar? In a sense it is, but as an answer from collective west we need to put that fourth if we don't want an outright war from the countries that only understand brute force. And even then parades are to celebrate the goal or what has been achieved instead of concentrating on raw military equipment boasting. And you do not get scowled at or arrested for saying that what your country did was a mistake. Nukes on Japan? Horrible horrible war crime. Not even fathomable by a regular person in 21st century. Russia? Oh hell, dictator himself uses WW2 as reference and example to use nukes today. The psychology and morals are just way too different.

Coming back to my initial point - you are free to express your dislike and ill intentions, but with the culture around military (or lack thereof) it simply is considered as low intelligence ramblings to go so overboard with nazism (which for solovjov, medvedev and putler is daily job at this point to ask for genocide of Ukrainians and collective west). Someone who starts showing irrational hatred and anger is just shunned by the public. And that is the thing - while in the west undoubtedly politics influence news, it is in line with the overall mood and direction civilization is going. In Russia everyone is constantly bombarded with these lies, aggression, hatred and call for war that even an intelligent person at one point just caves in.

I wouldn't even feel safe making a joke at nuking Russia. Not safe for my safety or freedom - for me not to be labeled a psychopath. Because only a sick and degenerate personality could ask for something like this and support it. That is also why some of the people defending Russia get such a huge backlash here.

We do have to realize the cultures and values differ way too much. It does not warrant towards discrimination and aggressiveness, but that goes both ways - Russia has to realize it can't bully its neighbors if they want to lean towards western culture.

UkraineWorld on Twitter: "Russia may use chemical weapons if it continues to suffer defeats in Ukraine, - Politico, citing White House sources. #StopRussia #RussiaInvadedUkraine " / Twitter
https://twitter.com/ukraine_world/status/1595752417483972608

If Russia is running out of ammunition and fights Ukraine at this point, of course they will lose.
It is possible, if not likely, that they will use chemical weapons to buy time.
Since nuclear weapons cannot be used to buy time, there is no need to worry too much if the only opponents are Russia and Ukraine.

By the way, nuclear weapons?
At least there has been no talk of using them in the oriental island nations.ヾノ'Θ'o)No⚛

When it comes to the "numbers" that we need to use, there is no need to do so during Russia vs. the world. In other words, it will not happen now.

[my bad fantasy]
When it comes to Russia and China vs. the world, people will be concerned about the shortage of ammunition and will consider nuclear weapons in their sights.

But only if Russia was strong. In reality, Russia cannot answer the expectations of China and does not appear to be willing to fight together. (Although we hear that they are selling various inferior goods at rip-off prices as the only import destination by eroding the Russian economy with Chinese yuan...)
Even after Russia's ceasefire with Ukraine and the overthrow of the Russian government, there will still be a situation where Russia will be heavily dependent on China economically, so geographically, China will consult with Ukraine about the operation of the Trans-Siberian Railway and talk about an economic zone on the Silk Road Railway, and China, which is more formidable than Russia, will slowly return to Eastern Europe and Central Asia. I think it is realistic to expect that China, which is more formidable than Russia, will slowly move back to Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

At least that's how it will be in the near future.
If we talk about the distant future, the earth will be treated as just another madman.😆

When was this done in the past? And when you think about it...

  1. the estimated human casualties of the landing operations were too high and things became deadlocked.
  2. need to show off technology and strengthen diplomacy
  3. the political powers wanted to use it (A-bomb cake)election campaign strategy

As long as such historical problems are not repeated, such an end-of-humanity button will not be utilized.

I‘m not familiar with how the Russian media actually works, however I assume the people that are calling for nukes are not actual journalists but influencers…

Looking at the US it’s hard to find actual news. The big outlets like Fox News, cnn, msnbc host a variety of opinion shows, inviting “experts” that push the narrative in a certain way. (Which the Russian shows seem to be as well).

In the EU I’m used to have more impartial and fact based journalistic reporting. It’s 10-15 min reporting of current events in the world (incl. local things) and then 5 min for sports.

Don’t get me wrong, we have those opinion shows as well, but the majority is proper news.

As for your question:
In theory the journalists would be free to call for that as well, but they might lose their job because they overstepped their boundaries and made an opinion show out of a factual news show.

In opinion shows you are free to do what you want as it’s an opinion and not a fact, but I have yet to hear a call for any sort of direct intervention or even nukes.

Personally I think the calls are a sign of weakness. Russia, china and others use their military to distract from the real issues those countries have. Now that it’s obvious that (at least for Russia) this was only a smoke screen and their narrative of a great military might falls apart, they grasp for straws to save face and their countries leadership.

Zaporizhzhia strike kills newborn baby at Ukraine hospital

The World Health Organization has documented 703 attacks on health infrastructure since Russia's invasion began on 24 February - it defines an attack as involving violence as well as threatened violence against hospitals, ambulances and medical supplies.
The UK Ministry of Defence said on Wednesday that Russian commanders were likely using Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) to "prioritise medical facilities as targets of opportunity and strike them with guided munitions if identified".

Not only energy infrastructure, Russia is also targeting medical facilities. Russia complains a lot about its terrorist label, but continues to do its worst to deserve it.

A great plan™ has been revealed by Putin's propagandists on today's talk show, '60 minutes' (the one that Skabeeva is hosting). One of the 'experts' unveiled the truth behind massive missile attacks. Apparently, they had nothing to do with 'crippling Ukrainian defense industry' like they've been saying before. He said that the winter is around the corner and thus Ukrainian citizens will be left without heating so that they had no other option but to go and overthrow Zelensky.

At start of video, Russian TV propaganda says - "Will Ukraine want peace when they have no lights? There is one month left until winter, until the chill. This is how we're conducting our military operation. ..."
Maybe what's new is that they included the 'overthrow Zelensky' part. But it's not really a new part, because they've targeted Zelensky so many times.

Tech Giant Aims to Cut Ties With Russia - The New York Times
https://www.nytimes.com/live/2022/11/24/world/russia-ukraine-war-news/yandex-russia-war

A detailed article by the news organization is posted on the said Twitter page.

It includes a summary of the testimony of two anonymous Yandex.
Are you censored? It's tough.

https://ir.yandex/press-releases?year=2022&id=2022-11-25 (official pre-release)

As a company, we will not write "flee to the west".
The Russian government will be barking like a rabid dog.
Whether Yandex is neutral towards the Russian government, more pro-government or not. There is no room for the business to continue in the black with no way out.

That is probably the reason for this measure.

To be sure, if the Russian government does not allow technology licensed to Russia to leave the country, it may at least "pretend" that the sale never happened.
It is common for the Russian government to mess up its promises.

Few people think they can do legitimate business with a state that supports terrorism.
Some countries are involved with Russia only in fisheries because of the mutual rescue issues involved in maritime accidents, but on other matters, the only thing they will talk to the Russian government about is "stop attacking nuclear power plants" or "stop the massacres in Ukraine.

Back to the point, "international companies in Russia" will go under if the Russian government continues as it is.
In order not to go under, they are probably trying to appease Russian officials or lick the shoes of those in power to protect the lives of their employees.

I can only feel sorry for Yandex.
The Russian government is in the wrong, and you saw the NATO invasion nonsense that started with the lie of special operations and the immediate declaration of withdrawal after declaring occupation, didn't you?
At one point, he claimed that Ukraine would nuke Russia or use contaminated overbombs.
The IAEA exposed Russia's lies.

You should not be one of those supporting such a Russian government.
Seeing only lies is like using a water bath, going back and forth to the sauna, drinking vodka and going straight to bed. Take care. This winter is cold.

[video on Twitter] - Feast your eyes on Vladimir Solovyov, the man of constant sorrow: he cries, he sighs, he lies. He encourages Russians to die for the Motherland and praises himself for his "choice" to give up his Italian villa (it was seized and he was sanctioned, so the choice was made for him).

Solovyov wearing some sort of military uniform - "Yeah, so I'm proud of my friends who are fighting as part of Russia's National Guard, as part of the Army and volunteer units and Cossack units. We'll be supporting them. I'll be regularly showing up in various uniforms. Pardon me, without epaulets, my only rank is the old man of the Russian Federation. The million dollar question is: Has Solovyov ever served in the military? Couldn't find anything on Wikipedia. If he never served in the army, this retard makes fun of his own army by wearing a military outfit.

[video on Twitter] - Meanwhile in Russia: top propagandist Vladimir Solovyov is demanding the death penalty for Russian servicemen who abandon their military positions. He is also demanding for his staff to ban any online users who ask him to show his own heroism on the frontlines.

Solovyov is shy about his (nonexistent?) military background.

Russia Planned To Attack Japan in 2021: Leaked FSB Letters
https://www.newsweek.com/russia-planned-attack-japan-2021-fsb-letters-1762133

🤔

Internal documents from the Russian government say they were planning to invade Japan in 2021.

If that had happened, there would have been no invasion of Ukraine.
And by the way, Russia would be gone. I marveled at this unplanned plan that cannot be called a plan.🙄
Whether such information can be used as a basis for "exercising the right of self-defense" is unknown.
At the very least, some defenders of the Russian government in Japan should refrain from saying so.

According to the Kremlin, Putin met with a group of mothers of Russian soldiers who fought.
Putin is ostensibly meeting with grieving mothers, except the mothers aren't real...and neither is Putin. The "mothers" are the same women who regularly show up on Kremlin events and Putin was apparently edited into the video.

(1/5) Russia is likely removing the nuclear warheads from aging nuclear cruise missiles and firing the unarmed munitions at Ukraine.
(2/5) Open source imagery shows wreckage of an apparently shot-down AS-15 KENT air launched cruise missile (ALCM), designed in the 1980s exclusively as a nuclear delivery system. The warhead had probably been substituted for ballast.
(3/5) Although such an inert system will still produce some damage through the missile’s kinetic energy and any unspent fuel, it is unlikely to achieve reliable effects against intended targets.
(4/5) Russia almost certainly hopes such missiles will function as decoys and divert Ukrainian air defences.
(5/5) Whatever Russia’s intent, this improvisation highlights the level of depletion in Russia’s stock of long-range missiles.

AS-15 KENT air launched cruise missile

http://militaryrussia.ru/blog/topic-702.html

  • X-555 - AS-15 KENT-C (2004) is a serial long-range cruise missile with a non-nuclear warhead and an improved guidance system. Structurally similar to the X-55CM rocket
And these missiles were previously in Kharkov. After the strike on the enterprise, they could have brought it or found it at the site of the strike.
http://gortransport.kharkov.ua/news/5545/ http://tema.in.ua/article/6663.html (articles in Russian about the sale of missiles to the side represented by Iran and China)

Whatever Russia’s intent, this improvisation highlights the level of depletion in Russia’s stock of long-range missiles.

Last time, with such a statement, there was a blow to the energy infrastructure. After the light was not in Ukraine almost completely.

man, your posts are the most worthless crap i've ever seen
no one is interested in the sales of the missiles and i don't know what you're trying to say with your other link, maybe that Ukraine shot themselves again or it was Iran or China? That the missile has no nuclear warhead, when you posted information about the 2000's upgrade with conventional warheads? Maybe read proper sites, where you can clearly see that the missile was designed as a nuclear delivery system
nice how you try to deflect from the topic, bringing different topics up, like the terrorist strikes on energy infrastructure and the Poland missile, when i haven't spoken about these topics and of course providing links, no one asked about and in every language, but english, when you were already told these sources aren't appropriate, i mean, how often do you need to get told this?
Out of all post here, you took the one from me, harassing me with your off-topic once again
why didn't you replied to someone talking about the terrorist strikes on the energy infrastructure and the Poland missile?
still butthurt i've disproven you so many times?

your separation doesn't change anything.
You brought up off-topic stuff AGAIN, a thing you're doing quite regularly and were already suspended 2 times for it, still learned nothing from it and stubbornly doing it

It's not my fault that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba gave an interview ONLY to the French edition

but it's your fault you haven't looked for other medias reporting about it in english, oh no english news available, maybe your news wasn't that important as you think, not to mention you're going on and on with your off-topic spam, you're still not getting it?

HOW ON EARTH is Kuleba, the missile on Poland and the terrorist strikes on the energy infrastructure related to my initial information about the depletion in Russia’s stock of long-range missiles?

In the message (which has now become this https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/4HMOHAh ) I asked for alternative references, but there were none, but only about the fact that it is NOT ESSENTIAL. Let's not think that this is so implied by everyone, so even the Polish residents expressed their bewilderment about this.

HOW ON EARTH is Kuleba, the missile on Poland and the terrorist strikes on the energy infrastructure related to my initial information about the depletion in Russia’s stock of long-range missiles?

Issued separately.
The connection between this.
Air defense missile. Got on the territory of Poland. This missile flew after the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that the Russian warehouses were depleted and there were no more missiles. With this missile, they tried (possibly) to intercept a rocket that was flying through a distribution substation from which electricity is supplied to the contact network of the railway, which is needed to drive traction electric motors of a train that transports ammunition and military equipment in the direction of the city of Kherson.

f*** me, we're now at trains and railways?

A small educational program for understanding the connection between an electric substation and a railway. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Railway_electrification_system
https://traffic.od.ua/news/railua/1197849 (in Russian, but about the "Railway Worker's Day" in Odessa, at the same time about the composition of the locomotive fleet)
As you can understand, then in the absence of electricity, then immediately retires (for 2017) 1738 of the 4016 locomotives. The rest are diesel locomotives, but for pumping fuel, electricity is needed for pumps, although you can pump 7300 liters with a manual pump (The fuel system of 2TE10M and 3TE10M diesel locomotives https://dieselloc.ru/2te10m_3te10m/2_3te10m_7.html . The reference to the fuel system is given only for reference materials on the amount of fuel placed in the tanks of the locomotive, go through it only at will.)
If we take into account several factors in the calculation, we will get the result in the form of a violation of logistics, which is implied in the form of disruption of the delivery of materials.
That's the connection between the railway and electricity.

you're trying to fabricate connections, where is none to justify your deflective spam

so far you're taking a statement from Kuleba, as a hook to talk about the Poland missile and try to force me into a discussion and look into the topic and timelines of the Poland incident and compare it with the time the statement was made. Thanks mate, i'm not interested to waste my time with you and hear just more bullshit and deflecting in accordance with the russian propaganda rulebook for starters.
In all your spam here there was no single sentence about my initial post about how this improvisation highlights the level of depletion in Russia’s stock of long-range missiles. Deflecting par exellence

https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/CCgNlqA Read the post again. I understand that I don't want to follow the links, but there is much more of it there. It's just about the fact that they are structurally similar due to the fact that they use the same airframe. That's just in order to understand that they are different, then a different designation was introduced or used with a nuclear warhead in Syria, just follow the link to see a photo with the use in Syria.

There will be no lasting peace if the aggressor wins.
If oppression and autocracy prevail over freedom and democracy.

Most wars end with negotiations.
But what happens at the negotiating table depends on what happens on the battlefield.
Therefore, the best way to increase the chances for a peaceful solution is to support Ukraine.

So NATO will continue to stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes.
We will not back down.

This is based on an incident that was previously about an anti-aircraft missile hitting the territory of Poland.

The Ukrainian armed forces have evidence that the missile that fell in Poland is not Ukrainian. This was announced by Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba in an interview with the French newspaper Parisien on November 25. https://www.leparisien.fr/international/guerre-en-ukraine-les-pessimistes-nont-jamais-gagne-de-guerre-25-11-2022-LWSUNWNLDVHXPK2OYQPTMRQ7CA.php
He noted that Kiev had only heard political rhetoric about the Ukrainian missile, but had not seen evidence.
"Our military has information that this is not our missile," the diplomat said.
Kuleba added that Kiev is openly participating in the investigation together with the Polish special services.

https://twitter.com/DoRzeczy_pl/status/1596231024958062592
DoRzeczy readers criticized the statement of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba about the missile incident

@Prosac "and in every language, but english, when you were already told these sources aren't appropriate, i mean, how often to you need to get told this?"

It's not my fault that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba gave an interview ONLY to the French edition (link to the interview is attached). Although the Polish media at least had a small discussion about this (link to the article and where there were big discussions (twitter) also attached). If there were more media outlets that voiced it, then there would be more links. It is already the free media of Europe that is kicking about this, why they do not want to show the opinion of countries on these issues.
But about what the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba said, then I, and many in Russia, did not have a contradiction. Yes, the rocket is not Ukrainian, it was made in the USSR, and then there was no Ukraine, but there was the Ukrainian SSR. And since this is the job of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba to defend his country by speaking to the media with a pre-set agenda.

still butthurt i've disproven you so many times?

If you have a refutation of the statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleb about the missile, then I am ready to hear it. It's just that this interview was published on November 25, 2022. Although about other data that this rocket can not be Russian, it is already known to everyone. This was also noticed by Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. in Indonesia at the G20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UydGg9ze1kA

Ukraine nuclear boss says he sees signs Russia may leave occupied plant

"Firstly, there are a very large number of reports in Russian media that it would be worth vacating the (plant) and maybe worth handing control (of it) to the (International Atomic Energy Agency - IAEA)," he said, referring to the United Nations nuclear watchdog. "One gets the impression they're packing their bags and stealing everything they can."

Good omens, that's what orcs do before retreating.
Why? The Russians don't have enough ammunition for their false flag attacks against the Zaporizhzhia NPP?

Winter is harsh without electricity, but it's worse when you're outside and poorly equipped. To learn more about the fate of Russian soldiers.
[Video on Nitter] - Hypothermia. No blood or other causes of death to be seen.
That's why you need good sleeping bags and warm clothes, which of course are not provided by the Russian army.

These Russians have a roof and do not freeze thanks to overcrowding. But ...
[Nitter] - 1/ Mobilised Russians in Sverdlovsk region are suffering from a mass outbreak of infectious disease, but doctors are unable to treat them due to a lack of equipment and medicine. This is likely the result of overcrowded, insanitary conditions at their training area.
These conscripts will miss the days when they were sick but warm.

It's not just winter clothes and medicine that the Russian soldier lacks. Also food, water and even ammunition. You can listen to the families of Russian conscripts complaining. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLKYSRJPwOI

Russia was constantly threatening that Ukraine and EU will freeze to death and they will push forward. I did have a feeling it could be other way around ... since we saw how ill equipped and preparade they war already in the beginning of war. So there is no surprise here.

What baffles me is what was the plan? Did they hope (and still are hoping) that UA and EU will freeze before they do? I mean its clear kremlin doesn't care about lives of its soldiers - but what was the limit? Do they seriously without making fun of them resorted to sending all their soldiers to a meatgrinder trying to weaken the opponent and no matter the losses just perform another mobilization to send a new wave in after alleged freezing of UA?

By day this gets more and more pathetic and sad.

Yes. The drafted soldiers are there to draw fire away from 'professional' military and to stall the frontline buying some time until Spring, when equipment shortages won't be that important and when they can reinforce the 'professional' army with demobilized conscripts (who unlike drafted soldier underwent a more or less proper military training).

'Important Stories' journalists claim that at least two of their sources (from FSB and General Staff) independently reported Kremlin is expecting to lose (not 'killed', but 'unable to continue fighting') up to 100'000 of currently drafted soldiers until Summer.

Vladimir Putin does not abandon his plans to conquer Kyiv. In order to achieve his goal, he is ready to fight for several years, without regard to losses.
"By the next spring people may be killed or injured [according to one of the forecasts] in the range of 100,000. But this does not scare anyone: they will be replaced with the conscripts."
According to the source, by next spring, the Defense Ministry plans to prepare 120,000 conscripts, which can be sent to Ukraine to make up for losses among the mobilized: "This is why he [Putin] is not cancelling the decree on partial mobilization.

Sounds feasible.

I just hope that they have gravely miscalculated the affect information age has on this. If they could outright lie to everyone in soviet times and you had no way to find out what's going on - at least now its near impossible to hide their atrocities. Perhaps on such a small scale as north Korea they can completely close off information space, but since Russia at least tried all "democracy" thing it did weaken their oppressive side significantly.

People are bound to eventually stand up against outright murder of their own citizens. How long can they hide behind lies of evil west while literally sending their own citizens to fight in other country? Not even those who are being brainwashed by Kremlin to e patriotic as fuck can keep on defending such a massacre in 21st century.

But maybe that is want putler wants - demoralize west into feeling sorry for the poor fucking infantry sent from russia... since we already know putler sees west as weak. And finds our morals to be too humane.
