[Buy, charity] Every purchase counts, together we can make a difference in helping the mental health cause.
[Buy, games] What a great selection of games! I'm not even feeling GYLTy for spending $15 on it.
[Have] What, you guys don't own these already? Even My Friend Peppa Pig has them!
[Skip, dislike charity] These charity bundles seem to be On A Roll. First we have the expensive Day of the Devs, now this... what's next?
[Skip, dislike games] Say No! More interesting titles please, otherwise I won't buy it.

sure I take it.

quite expensive just for gylt and kao...
however, those (and a few others) are very expensive in my region.
i really dunno about this one.

Less than Β’60 a game, with 13 new-to-bundle games? Sure, that sounds like a good deal. And there are a few games I might actually play.

Some nice games in the bundle, maybe a buy.

A bundle of totally optional (for me) games, but for charity - why not.

[edit] Actually I'm glad to try Vampire Survivors, finish Gylt (hopefully the stadia save will transfer over) and replay Zool (previously played on Amiga). Some other potentially fun games in there as well (e.g. the "recharged" titles from Atari). Nice bundle overall.

Only interested in Gylt, and a few other games pique my curiosity, but it's not enough for me. Skip.

Fanatical messed it up, I got this package of Kao the Kangaroo 2000 re-release instead of a new one https://steamdb.info/sub/848015/ Be careful when creating giveaways

They responded, they will not be providing the mistake keys. Oh well, worth a try. Kao the Kangaroo (2000 re-release) is the correct one.

I wonder if they'd even offer refunds, since they have this disclaimer on the site:

"Please note: The Safe In Our World Charity Bundle is a charity purchase and qualifies as a charitable donation. All proceeds go to the charity. Please bear in mind that we cannot refund donations without the permission of the charity."

To my support ticket, I've got the option to:
"If you would like to refund Kao the Kangaroo currently in your bundle, please let us know and we are happy to process that for you."

I'm not sure how that would work and I'm not gonna try.

I assume a dollar in return or something.

As long as you haven't revealed all the keys in the bundle you can get a full refund... however if you just want a refund for the Kao mistake, they will probably just refund the value of the key which is $0.58. I just told them it's fine and don't want a refund. It's for charity...

"We are very sorry for this mixup.
The wrong version of Kao the Kangaroo was advertised in our Safe In Our World Charity Bundle 2024.
The correct title included in the bundle is Kao the Kangaroo (2000 re-release), which you have received.
We have fixed the bundle product page to reflect the correct title and we apologize for the inconvenience.
If you would like to refund Kao the Kangaroo currently in your bundle, please let us know and we are happy to process that for you."

I received the same answer. Not sure what would mean "refund" of game as it is already activated and would need somehow to be calculated as a part of 15$ ;). Probably most right thing is just accept situation ;).

here is a little problem, i received Kao the Kangaroo (2000 re-release) instead of Kao the Kangaroo

It's been corrected on the site. It was always meant to be Kao (2000). I'm guessing they'll give people that ordered it early keys for the new version if you contact them but who knows

Seems like the chart is incorrect. Fanatical lists Kao the Kangaroo 2000 rerelease instead of the new one.

Also, anyone else having payment problems there? I bought one bundle but they charged my card 2 times

Big pass.

I own half of these and have ignored half of the remaining half.

Price is good for a charity bundle, if you don't own the good or hidden gems.

Vampire Survivors was $3 game when I purchased it in EA and now $5 as a full and hugely expanded release, but worth the purchase price of the bundle for that game alone, to me.

I actually got Kao the Kangaroo on a bundle split. I was disappointed to find out it was on older version (I actually checker barter before purchasing, I wish I checked here instead)

is there an ending date to this?

wouldn't it be wise to buy asap because it's a charity bundle? these always end early

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yes, they always end early. I would just buy it. The only reason to hesitate is if you don't want the games or really wanted Kao (the remake) since it was replaced with the 2000 version.

wow you bought a Stadia - I thought Stadia was like the Lock Ness Monster or the Yeti where it was only a rummer that you heard of someone who had seen one

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Indeed. I was surprised how GOOD it was, technically speaking. Like I could play rhythm games, where lag can kill you, without any problem. It had it share of problems with owning your games and all. And I'm kind of glad it went away.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

That's surprising. I had the opposite experience, it would lag very frequently for me, to the point that I would just close it up and cancelled it. I remember trying it again for Cyberpunk and it was just too laggy.

I'm glad it worked for you though. I didn't have a PC at the time and it would've been great to be able to play PC games through it. I turned to GEForce Now but that required owning the games instead of getting access to their library like Stadia did.

Probably the same people who think bundles with even one repeat are objectively bad and/or think ~$0.58 a game is too expensive.

This. I could understand people critical of the day of the devs. But this one? Seriously?

seriously though... a majority of the people on SG are here to get freebies so they will criticize $0.58 cents a game.. even if it's for charity. freaking get the bundle and do giveaways for the games your don't want.
