Oh, you're playing 999 on NDS? Lucky you, your climax riddle won't be butchered as it was on PC...
Unfortunately there is no (great japanese) voice actors on this NDS one, so yeah playing twice is the only solution I guess.
Fortunately, I had few years of gap between re-playing them in such way, so it wasn't that bad :)

I loved Zero Escape, especially Virtue's Last Reward. I even got a friend to play the trilogy, and she loved it too haha
I still need to play the AI: The Somnium Files games, and The Hundred Line (in collaboration with the creator of Danganronpa) was released in April

sorry if my frustrated comment bummed you out. I appreciate the effort you've put into this, I was just annoyed I couldn't get it.

You're fine XD... I was kind of upset at first but quickly got over it when it made me realize:
The puzzle really wasn't approachable, with all the fluff and the fact that it was more convoluted than it had to be to serve the story bit I wrote for it, it just made things way too difficult, especially seeing as most people don't have the time to solve these kinds of massive puzzles with strange solutions.
Appreciate this comment though, much love.

Funnily enough, now that I see the first link, I was basically staring at the correct answer and even had it written out in a text document, but I kept making the answer more convoluted by trying to also apply the unicode symbols somehow, it just never occured to me that the actual answer would be much simpler. Ah well, guess it's a lesson for me to check the easy stuff first.

The OG puzzle looked neat but a bit intimidating + I had already played 999 and VLR on my 3DS years ago so I decided to leave it for later, guess there's no need now :P. Bump!

Thanks for the nono! Not sure if you'll change it, but the bump links are on the old thread

You can go ahead and try it if you'd like! I posted the solution on replies here and in the first cart of the train.
The old puzzle.

Me: "huh, this Zero Escape thing sounds a lot like 999; even the name reminds me of it"
Five seconds later, also me: "well, that'd be why, lol; wishlisted"
All I hear about 999 makes it sound like a great game.
Thanks for the much-lowered difficulty level and bump!

Same, with you on this one, it sucked converting it after the fact but that's the only way people would interact with the train XD
Most people gave up outright because the puzzle looked scary and was convoluted from the start.
I'll refine my puzzle making skills and the next one will be more approachable :)

Zero escape looks fun,
and thanks for the amazing train

lol i didnt get to reply to your comment before you closed the thread (´・ω・`)
im mostly surprised you did a day trip to hiroshima all the way from osaka.... that's a bigger distance than between tokyo and nagoya...!!!
i would have booked a hotel for a couple nights minimum :D
japan is super diverse and interesting, and there's just SO MUCH culture to learn about and get into.... i bet you're already looking at your timetable to schedule another trip XD

LOL I actually thought about it but I had a timed pass (JR Kansai Hiroshima Area Pass) since it was cheaper to get it rather than getting a shinkansen separately for every location I was heading to, so I wanted to cram in as many day trips as I could in the ~5 days it was active, on the last day I headed to Kyoto with said pass (which, now thinking about it, I probably should've reserved for another day trip perhaps...)
I ended up waking up super early, chugging a 7-11 black coffee and hauling ass at around 6-7 ish AM each of those days to get there as early as possible and see as much as I could. It was a bit tight and I missed some (now that I think about it, it was actually not a small amount of) stuff but I didn't really fret too much as I still got to see ALOT of stuff, and I will for sure return one day.
I honestly wanted to potentially get another day-trip to Hirsohima in and make it separate from Miyajima but ended up deciding against it since I went to see alot of A-Bomb related stuff and it was pretty depressing, especially seeing all the other tourists taking pictures at literal memorials smiling and laughing, which really put me off. By the end of the day I was kind of mentally exhausted and decided it'd be best to stick to my schedule.
I got to eat one of my favorite ramen bowls in an inconspicuous little shop about 10 minutes from the memorial park, too! The owner was very kind :)
I will definitely return one day, perhaps for a few days. I'm thinking next trip will be a bit less mainstream and more rural. Currently casually learning Japanese so I hope in 3-5 years time (when I'll probably be returning) I'll be proficient enough to get by and socialize :)

Bump! Thanks for going easy on us with this nonogram. The first puzzle on the original thread wasn't that hard when I look back at it, but the second one still befuddles me, even with the hint you gave me.

It was a bit of a mess. Character 3 and 5 were interchangeable but all the others were pretty straight-forward all things considered.
The note had colors and names of markings (I.E Red sun, green ... star and moon etc.) Green has 2 while red, blue and silver have 1 each. Pretty sure the formatting is still according to the numbers attached, meaning in this case that here:
RED: 1-z🌕 / 4-2🟨 / 5?-b☀️ / 2-2🟡
Red sun is 5 / 3 - b, meaning the 3rd or 5th character is b (5th in this case).
So it was basically almost the same as the main puzzle, only thing that was a bit harder to work with was the note and the interchangeable characters. Maybe I should've separated the two completely, I think it'd have been easier to look at and solve. The main puzzle was easier than this one, but I still think they weren't too difficult by themselves, just all the fluff and the fact that I made them interlocked that was a bit puzzling to some and daunting to most.

important to note: there's a region restriction for (some of) the giveaways, to LATAM. Ends July 5th 11:30 UTC -3. Feel free to contribute to the train if you feel like it, no rules other than the end time! :DI've recently started playing a game series called Zero Escape on the DS and 3DS. I've really been enjoying my time with it so I decided to give the game away for anyone interested in playing it (on Steam), and sweeten the deal with some other games :P
This was originally a puzzle which I took way too long to make, and ended up making way too convoluted as a result. Checking the entries and constantly seeing 0 to 3 entries bummed me out and so I decided to revise the challenge. I'm ditching the original puzzle and making this a Nonogram Challenge.
Sorry to all those who solved it as it was before, you're the MVPs :)
Hope y'all have a good summer, happy July! :D
