As much as I like Steam, to me the GOG version is the best one for a game such as this. It's such an old game that it won't take advantage of any of Steam's features such as achievements, cloud saves, trading cards, etc. Whereas GOG at least gives you some neat extras and compatibility updates for newer Operating Systems. Free is free of course and you take what you can get though, even if it's uPlay.

Yea I get that. To me that was always an overrated concept though. It's not like you have to run into the other room to go on another computer or something. Besides, it's not like you can't easily add it to Steam as a non-Steam game so it appears in your library. I stand by my assertion that the GOG version is the best one =P

Well, I also don't like having too many different launchers you know. Eventhough I know GOG has DRM free.

I'm speaking in general here, but I hope everyone realizes that if they are not willing to keep an open mind to other platforms then it only serves to give Valve power and leverage over you as a consumer.

so how does it work? I think I actually played the game (though steam) but your link just brings me to a "download our client" (that I actually already have) place.

Just log in to your Ubisoft account and check your game library

I'm guessing it's probably a targeted promotion that is automatic.

I touched Duel of Champions briefly and it's even in my uPlay library but I didn't receive this. I guess maybe I didn't play enough or something. Already have it on GOG though.
