I don't recall seeing this thread around here and I think it's a pretty cool one. You can either recommend someone a game or advise someone not to waste one's time on it. I'll start.
Mark Of The Ninja - A very good stealth-action game. It's like Splinter Cell but in 2D. Although I admit there were times when I was a little bit bored. Overall it's a very good game. Solid 8/10.
Here's a collage of all games I've beaten over the years on PC:

Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
I'm playing it right now. Is it good?
You're playing it, you tell me! j/k
I didn't play 1, but played 2 and then this. I enjoyed it! The Desmond story is the most interesting part, to me (especially the end). We don't get enough of it!
You should play the first AC. I think it's great.
Eh, I already have Revelations and III in my backlog, along with everything else. I'm just going to continue on.
I feel you. Although I couldn't start not from the beginning. Unless the first game really sucked but it doesn't.
Normally I wouldn't skip, but when I started playing the series, everyone said 1 was too repetitive and you could play 2 and not really miss out on the story arc.
I think the second one was repetitive just as much. There was just more variety. But it was also repetitive. Anyway, I enjoyed the first one and the second one really much. I'm gonna start playing Brotherhood soon.
And right they were. There is no going back to AC1, it's not even in the same league of the sequel and really nothing essential in there, felt more like a prototype compared to the rest. Assassin's Creed 2 makes a fine starting point.
Actually, AC1 has a lot of things to show you... If you truly play the game...
Like what?Collect Flags.Do more stuff.Get 100% completeion.Die in peace.Wait,what?I didn't like the game as much as ACB,AC1 was good,but nothing,no replayability imo
Oh I hate Revelations so much. The only good parts are the..oh wait...there aren't any. :/
You made this comment one year ago and it still holds just as much truth today.
You are wrong. Revelations had an awesome intro video ))
Slow clap You found something actually good about Revelations.
revelations is great 3 is c***
Don't trust him! Lol
I think that the first one is the worst game of the saga without a doubt. It's boring, easy, full of bugs and to be honest after playing that I reconsidered not playing any other game of the saga again. But after reading too many coments about the second one, i can say (imho) that the second one is funnier, more interesting and way better than 1.
It's all a matter of opinion. While I don't think the first one's the best, I have a fondness for the first one. I liked Altair much better as a protagonist, than Ezio (who was essentially the Forrest Gump of Firenze). And once you learn more about Altair in Revelations, it makes me like him that much more.
For me, the low point was Brotherhood. That game was a chore-and-a-half to finish. The Borgia story was wearing thin, the other villains were forgettable, the side quests annoying, and it started that whole bullshit with "100% synchronization" -- which needed to be smothered in the cradle (again, in my opinion).
Then again, I kind of liked AC III and really enjoyed Unity -- so most AC fans think I'm heretical anyway.
The Desmond story? You should check out Assassin's Creed III... Dat ending! All I'll say is that you'll have no idea what is going to happen after it XD Once you play and beat it for yourself, you'll understand what I mean.
LOL, the Desmond's story is bullshit. Ezio is one of the most likeable, interesting, bad-ass and all around genius level written character in a game. Right up there with Niko Belic from GTA IV. Desmond's just a whiny little bitch.
Nico? I didn't care for his character unfortunately. I'm not saying he was a horribly written character, because he wasn't though I would only label him as "Average" at best. However, even as an average character, he just didn't appeal to me. In fact very few GTA characters do.
I hate Desmond
Way better than 3.
BEST OF THE AC GAMES. Ive beaten it twice. AC REV has slightly better gameplay and gaphics but the story is so - so.
I see reason why. I bought ACB recently and it is great so far, better than AC2. I never played any others though, so I cannot tell if it the best.
Yeah, me too! Now I just gotta buy Revelations. What an awesome series.
Revelations is crap, worse than AC III. best game is AC 2, followed by Brotherhood and then the first one.
call of duty black ops II
awesome single player game
I'm in love with FPS games but...are you actually satisfied with the campaign of the CoD series? The only campaigns I probably enjoyed in that series is probably World at War and Cod 4: Modern Warfare
The rest failed to impress me... =\
Agree with this ^^. Everything is an opinion, of course, but MW2, MW3, and BLOPS were not very good by my standards. I've owned and played every Call of Duty since the original, including the early PS2/Xbox versions. The original trilogy will always be my favorite, but Call of Duty 4 blew me away the first time I played it. It didn't matter that it wasn't a 20+ hour game - it was so original at the time that I loved it. After that, not so much... World at War was a nice attempt at going back to its roots, but it was a miss for me there as well.
BiznesChlopczyk - look at his posts lately, all spam, reported of course, but he is causing chaos
The last game I beat was Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and before that, FarCry 3.
Obviously I'd recommend both of them, seriously amazing games.
+1 for Uncharted
Mass Effect 1, very fun game :)
Keep going man, you have to beat mass effect 2 and 3 now. One of the best series there is. Especially if you play them all in a row so all of your choices go through and everything is fresh in your Emory.
Damn, I still have to beat ME 2 and 3.
Yeah but 3's ending.... :/
Somehow they had to end the story of Sheppard.
My last beaten game was Mass Effect 3 (like 2 days ago) and I actually didn't mind the ending - granted, I had the Extended Cut, and I'm not sure what it was like before...
ME3>ME1>ME2. ME2 is the worst part
Mass Effect 2 was easily the best. I reject your reality and substitute my own.
Agree, 1 had the best world but gameplay wasn't as tight, 2 was the best of both worlds, 3 was like oh this is awesome then the story happened....
Good game but I enjoyed 2 more. The long elevator rides and load times kind of ruined it for me
I loved ME1, disliked the changes from ME2 but got used to it and appreciated all the improvements, and even quite liked the guns from ME3, but it all fell apart for me when I realized that literally no choice I made in the series impacted anything whatsoever. Fun series, but just do whatever you like without trying to go for a good/bad ending. You'll always get the same ending without consequences.
Yup, as other says, keep going! ME1 is good but it suffer "age problems".
The 2 is imho the best even if with cliqué characters.
3 is good, meh ending but still good :)
Yes, it only gets better by playing 2 and 3. Personally I really liked the story in all of them.
Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten. A fun, humorous, story-oriented tower defense game.
Fantastic game! I am trying to beat it with no generic units. I am at the last couple battles, but I need to grind a bit more.
Age of Empire serious and Company of Heroes.
I think u mean Age of Empires and the Serious Heroes of the Company. Am I right?
Or the DLC expansion, 'Age of Empires: Things Just Got Serious'
don't forget DLC expansion
age of empires, cereal and super cereal!
O CANADA for the flying man bear pig that shoots lazes from its eyes
Borderlands 1, except for the DLC.
Unless we are classing the Tetris marathon game on my phone, then it was that.
I actually thought the BL1 DLCs were awesome, except for Moxii's Underdome.
The Darkness II.
I enjoyed playing this one
Crysis 1. Amazing.
I'm in the middle of it.. :)
Beating it is what got me back into FPS
it is great
That game was just perfect. The new installments will never live up to this quality again.
I still love the multiplayer on that game! :D
Deponia, 100%, 9/10 - because too short. Now I'm waiting for sale on Chaos on Deponia :D
THat's the last game I finished as well! Now I am playing Chaos on Deponia - it's also very nice! :)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic... gonna start on KOTOR 2 soon
finished them 4 times each, amazing games.
Best game I'e ever played. <3 I would do ANYTHING to have my xbox play it again! ;-; But...I got Star Wars: The Old Republic. Combat sucks though, (Only realistic part is the blocking) (I'm level 15 so I have no need to block because I'm on the starter planet) ,the story-line's good, (It introduces some main characters in Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic) ,and your companions just get in your way. (Durinng battling they'll jump in front of your cursor, thinking you want to talk.)
That's so long ago, I don't even remember. That's quite bad, isn't it?
Yeah... play something naow!
Rather "finish something" :D
Yeah, my bad ;D
Company of Heroes
+1 cant wait for the new one
Hitman: Absolution. Not a bad games despite lack of open levels. Contracts mode is a great addition.
Not being able to choose a weapon in story mode kinda sucked though. Contracts couldn't make up for that.
But they didn't ruin the serie, that's a lot these days ^^
Technically, Waking Mars. Just went through the other night and got the special ending.
You could count Binding of Isaac, but I don't count it beaten until I fight and beat ???.
Well, you could write whatever you want here but I always write what I've beaten in this kind of threads. I don't even like telling people what I'm currently playing until I beat the game. Yeah, I'm that weird :D
Dishonored. Play it.
Highly recommended. I don't get why there is so little people playing this.
Just beat it again (first time on pc), but this time I did ghost, clean hands and mostly flesh and steel on very hard and then I realized they is no achievement for difficulty
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. Highly recommended.
+1 truly an awesome game.
Just finished Mark of the Ninja here as well and was really impressed with it. Compared to the developer's other series (Shank), it's night and day. Shank didn't appeal to me and I wasn't too keen on playing this, but after hearing so many good things about it, decided to give it a go. Glad I did. The game is just so unique and fresh and definitely deserving of it's praise. 9.5/10
I enjoyed Shank 1 and 2 as much as Mark of the Ninja.
Aquaria. Got 100% achievements as well. Really good metroidvania, I highly recommend it.
Hotline Miami, next will be Ys Origins
last game was Hotline Miami too! Crazy game man! x-x
last game i finished was... DMC. not the best, but i enjoyed, after i got rid of the thoughts of the other DMC's in my head
The Walking Dead - I loved it n_n'
Actually did Mark of the Ninja 100% and I thought it was the best stealth game I played since SC:Chaos Theory. Certainly didn't bore me, you could try New Game+ for more challenge. Which actually gives you an achievement that is an homage to Splinter Cell.
Also 100%ed Sonic Generations and Grotesque Tactics. Other things in my recent list is everything but the challenges of Arkham City base game and some other stuff I'd rather forget :p
But the others I've really enjoyed for the type of game they are, nice mix od stealth, platformer, satire RPG and action adventure, for some reason I decided to go all out on them..
