I have 15 bucks laying around I want to spend in Games, but I haven't found anything yet, that made me 100% Certain, I should get it. Soooo...

What games would you suggest, and why?

EDIT: Preferable something I don't need PayPal for, since that quit working a while ago.

Yeah, I heard very much about this game. Wasn't sure about it, since many of my friends don't have it and I dunno if the singleplayer is this good.

You should get bundles instead, at bundle stars they have pretty good bundles such as the brutal bundle

I would get bundles, but no PayPal. -sighs profusely-
Stopped working some while ago, so I am searching for alternatives.

You can pay for humble bundles using a amazon account load with cash, so all you need to do is buy a giftcard and all done. :)

Risk of Rain is pretty cool and its only $10, with the other $5 you could get The Binding Of Isaac

Actually I think I agree with rfma23, the current Humble Bundle is pretty good and the Indie Galais even better in my opinion.

Indie Gala doesn't look too interesting to me, might give it a bigger look.
Humble Bundle is neat, tho.

And all of my friends have Risk of Rain. What is that game about even?

All people on this page have a weird addiction with Fortix, as it seems.
I thought about bundles, but my PayPal isn't working atm. So I am pretty much f*cked when it comes to that.

Some LEGO games of your favorite franchise on GMG? Remember to use discount codes!

GMG25-0YUM5-VKMVU - 25% off almost anything

1WDO6K-KWDFJQ-U1E7AI - 25% off almost anything as well I believe.

I got both LEGO Harry Potter games on GMG for steam the other day for 7,50€ which is a quite good deal in my opinion.

Sadly they don't have Lego Star Wars, but Lego Harry Potter seems nice, tbh. I might consider!

Thanks for the suggestion.

GMG currently also runs a sale on tomb raider

I'd say you buy tomb raider 2013 and/or guardian of light

Tomb Raider is not a bad game. Sadly it's too short (around 20 hours)

Comment has been collapsed.

Since when was 20 hours a short game (unless it had a lot of reading)?

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

20 hours for $50 retail is short, and certainly for me. I'm used to playing RPGs like Baldur's Gate which you can only complete in over 100 hours and the Elder Scrolls series which takes 80+ hours as well ;-)

The Secret World is 66% off. Cheapest I've ever seen it.
Myself, I'm still on the fence about it. I'd like to buy it but I don't think I'll play it.
Either way, the offer ends in 30 minutes.

Was about to point out that one too. Good MMO, but lacking popularity at the major MMO crowd.

If Op likes RPGs I could suggest Shadowrun Returns as well. Old-school RPG system combined with turn-based combat (which originates from the Shadowrun pen-n-paper RPG system). Sadly, it's a bit over $15 on Steam, but I'm quite sure you can get it on one of the 3rd party retail sites for $15 ;-)

You can get Shadowrun Returns through trading for a little over 8 bucks as a gift so I actually would go for that :D

State of Decay, an actually really good open-world zombie survival game that you can easily get for a buck or 10 through trading at the moment. Playing it myself and even if it has it shortcomings it does so much right (not focused on killing but on exploration, perma-death, etc.) that I completely forgive the weird clipping and stuff like that

Thats depends, what kind do you like? Portal series, SimCity Deluxe, World Of Goo, Left 4 Dead series, GTA San Andreas, Worms, Assassins Creed series. Those are very cool games that I recommend.

Depends. You want newer games? Older ones? AAA or indie? Any particular genres? You have to be more specific. And like someone already said: right now, Spec Ops The Line is on sale. It's pure genius in terms of story and narrative. It's not the second coming of Jesus in terms of gameplay, but it's worth it for the story alone. It's that good. Worth every penny of a measly 5 euro.

Deus Ex HR was pretty good. Not sure how good the Director's Cut is though. I'm sure you can still trade for the original if that's meant to be better.
