A man just negative me for scam. is this a scam?

Ah, him again. On one hand, don't worry, he is kind of a certified village idiot around here.
On the other hand, he was right in one thing: Frozen Synapse Prime for Spy Chameleon is a good deal, and for you. Base price is one thing, but Frozen Synapse Prime keys worth exactly nothing. They are about as worthless as an Uncrowded key.

I just love the drama i found here... I'd just advise to keep calm and not retaliate in kind.

I hope he does understand that he cannot get everything he asks... I mean like he probably thinks he could trade 0.01 $ game for 60 $ game, just because he wants it...(not saying anything about frozen not= spy chamelon, but him thinking he can give you any game he wants..)

If konrad was such an experienced trader, he should've know better that when you add someone for a trade, you better confirm: "X for Y, right?". If the answer is a "Yes, I confirm", then its a confirmed a trade. You can send your key already if you want. If you want to be a bit more cautious, you can proceed with "Ok, are you ready to trade?". If the answer is "No", you play a game and wait for a bit. If the answer is "Yes", anytime you can send your key. You can even ask a few more things for a smoother trade, like "Who go first?", "Just to make sure, your game is a key?". Then after you activate it, say "It works, here is mine key 54C0B-DCZYJ-YFPLZ".

Trading games is not dealing drugs. You don't have to do it so fast nobody will notice. Be nice. Have patience. Its not because you have 2398293 games for trade and 10949209 +rep that you are the Mr. Overlord Prince Perfect Trader Of The Universe. You don't have more authority than anyone for trading for a longer time. You are not the traders representative. You are not the trading games reference on the internet. You are not a dealing pioneer. This idea some people have is what leads them to false trade feedbacks and rudeness, "You didn't deal with the trade as I was expecting you to, so I will -rep you". Not every trader speaks perfect english, so if you feel like, ask things twice, three times, in different ways, so you make sure you are on agreement.

And avoid sending the key right away after someone said they agree with the trade on your SG topic just because they accepted you on Steam. Misunderstandings happens, and nobody is to blame. And even if that happens (you send a key after you misunderstood an agreement), solve it with the user. Have faith in him, ask him to not use the key, and continue trying to trade it. If in the future another user says the key was used, if there was no other possible reason for it, then yes, you were probably scammed.

I had a key of mine in "hold" for weeks, because in the middle of the trade the other trader realized he had traded his game already. I only asked him to not use mine. And he never did, as I was able to trade the game later with success.

one guy voted me on steamtrades too with a negative...finally he was the scammer and the admins suspend his account but,, mi negative still there :(

Do not retaliate or take any other action yourself.

To me it seems like the other guy is trying to force a trade by threatening -rep. That is more likely the scam. I'd -rep his ass for trying to pull those shitty bullying tactics.

Anyone else who stumbles on this thread. Its not a scam just because a trade falls through or doesn't happen.

I believe that every time there is a proof of abusing feedback system, a user who abused it should get an instant ban.

finally, it is not cool that support deleting negative comments. scammers will use it to do for example oce peer year "good deals". negative comments should be pernament. who will have friend in support will not have negative feedback. bad idea.

The steam price of the game has nothing to do with the value of the game .
A game can be worth 100$ on steam , and then be part of a 10 games 1$ bundle .
Same time a game can be 5$ on steam , and be part of 5 game 2.99$ bundle .

You think the 100$ game worth more :? not quite :)

That being said, I've traded with both of you and they went smoothly. This just looks like a miscommunication, not a scam.

Looks like a simple miscommunication to me, I can see both sides points, especially assuming one of them speaks english as a second language.

If the person who left the feedback thinks the whole conversation is about spy chameleon, when you said yes about frozen synapse then he could interpret it as you saying yes, you will trade frozen synapse for spy chameleon.

On the flip side, they were overreacting in leaving warning feedback, especially since you never told them to send the key or anything.
