For people saying konrad misunderstood WWKBER:
If konrad was such an experienced trader, he should've know better that when you add someone for a trade, you better confirm: "X for Y, right?". If the answer is a "Yes, I confirm", then its a confirmed a trade. You can send your key already if you want. If you want to be a bit more cautious, you can proceed with "Ok, are you ready to trade?". If the answer is "No", you play a game and wait for a bit. If the answer is "Yes", anytime you can send your key. You can even ask a few more things for a smoother trade, like "Who go first?", "Just to make sure, your game is a key?". Then after you activate it, say "It works, here is mine key 54C0B-DCZYJ-YFPLZ".
Trading games is not dealing drugs. You don't have to do it so fast nobody will notice. Be nice. Have patience. Its not because you have 2398293 games for trade and 10949209 +rep that you are the Mr. Overlord Prince Perfect Trader Of The Universe. You don't have more authority than anyone for trading for a longer time. You are not the traders representative. You are not the trading games reference on the internet. You are not a dealing pioneer. This idea some people have is what leads them to false trade feedbacks and rudeness, "You didn't deal with the trade as I was expecting you to, so I will -rep you". Not every trader speaks perfect english, so if you feel like, ask things twice, three times, in different ways, so you make sure you are on agreement.
And avoid sending the key right away after someone said they agree with the trade on your SG topic just because they accepted you on Steam. Misunderstandings happens, and nobody is to blame. And even if that happens (you send a key after you misunderstood an agreement), solve it with the user. Have faith in him, ask him to not use the key, and continue trying to trade it. If in the future another user says the key was used, if there was no other possible reason for it, then yes, you were probably scammed.
I had a key of mine in "hold" for weeks, because in the middle of the trade the other trader realized he had traded his game already. I only asked him to not use mine. And he never did, as I was able to trade the game later with success.

To me it seems like the other guy is trying to force a trade by threatening -rep. That is more likely the scam. I'd -rep his ass for trying to pull those shitty bullying tactics.

Then OP would be in trouble too. Trade feedback is only for concluded deals, negative only when you lost items and got nothing or not the agreed-upon compensation in return. One of the most common mistakes is trying to used for canceled or failed deals, but it shouldn't. (And the opposite: +rep should never be added for anyone who you won a game from.)

To me, someone trying to force you to give up a key under threat is a scam attempt. I've never had a need to -rep anyone, I have been fortunate to have very good trading partners, but if someone was clearly trying to scam me I would report it.
That is not to say you aren't right. You probably are and I'd get in trouble for it.

Attempted scam, could be. But that is not even a criminal offence in most countries: con men can only be arrested when they catch them in the act, after the scam has taken place. The problem is that it is difficult to prove without catching the other one red-handed, and letting an attempt be a reportable offence would mean anyone could just twist any trade-related conversation into a report stating they were about to be scammed.

I completely understand your statement. He said Frozen Synapse is the only interesting game on offer. The only problem I see is the comma in the wrong space. It should read. You can argue that he did, even if it is debatable both on your and his favour. But negative feedback can only be added if you lost an item and got nothing in return (or not what you agreed upon). Since you never posted a key, you couldn't lose anything, so your negative feedback will earn you a suspension according to the site rules. You managed to earn suspensions only for forum misbehaviour, but if you are adamant on keeping that false feedback on his profile, that will ruin your reputation as a trader.

A game can be worth 100$ on steam , and then be part of a 10 games 1$ bundle .

Looks like a simple miscommunication to me, I can see both sides points, especially assuming one of them speaks english as a second language.
If the person who left the feedback thinks the whole conversation is about spy chameleon, when you said yes about frozen synapse then he could interpret it as you saying yes, you will trade frozen synapse for spy chameleon.
On the flip side, they were overreacting in leaving warning feedback, especially since you never told them to send the key or anything.

If you know the type, it's simple: if you know a typical loud guy who isn't a bad person, but you always feel you'd rather not be in his presence… that is similar. It's often considered a low-level trolling, although it's more like just an obnoxious personality with no real malicious intent. He has been suspended a number of times for being genuinely annoying on the forums, but nothing actually offensive of rule-breaking.
