The world begins to lose momentum. On 12/21/12, the world will have stopped completely, catastrophically destroying the cycle of seasons, weather patterns, as well as part of the Earth's magnetic pull. This last part will cause a global EMP-like event, knocking out all electronic power in every device. The Earth becomes dark. All these machines eventually break down and start releasing stuff into the atmosphere, and in a few hundred-thousand to a few hundred-million years the Earth becomes inhospitable to most complex organisms. The earth essentially dies. Mankind makes a last ditch effort to escape and manufactures an immensely huge shuttle full of pods for people to occupy. We set out on a cosmic voyage, searching for an Earth-like planet that we will be able to colonize. However, we underestimate how long it would take to do so, and end up running out of supplies on the ship because no one thought to build any sustainable resource generation devices (extreme stupidity became rampant as the human civilization developed, eventually becoming a pandemic affecting billions of people). People turned to cannibalism, disease broke out, a new type of virus developing and affecting nearly all people aboard the craft. With the new virus, people began dying within hours. Eventually, only one small child is left. Screen fades to black, then back in to the side of the child face. A sound is heard behind the camera, and the child's face snaps to face the camera. Screen fades to black.
