Could also be that your CV was boosted due to a sale for a package on Steam ("Deadlic Bug").
Maybe the base price on Steam of a game you gave away in the past decreased.

Not to pile on but is there really that much of a difference? I haven't looked but I doubt the number of Level 7 giveaways is worth the headache. Keep making GAs and don't look at the level meter too much, that's my advice.

yeah basically that's it, it should be more something funny, to make giveaway and make people happy with them, without spending too much time and real life into it.. the level will eventually keep on going down if one doesn't make giveaways since games get bundled as time goes bye but who cares? as long as one enjos the website and its mechanics it's great to keep on making giveaways, one will eventually "level up" without even noticing it ^^ i totally agree

Same here i was "level 4.5" 6 months ago that's why i stopped doing GA's , now I started giving again a month ago and my level goes up to 3.86 and down again 3.82 almost everyday , don't know wtf is up with that but this is not encouraging me to do a big AAA game GA...
