My friend who lives in Canada says that Dead Island is on sale on Steam for $9.99, but I can't see it. Can anyone else? O:

No. I just checked the store page and put it in my cart, it is still $20 for me in Canada.

Because the only exclusive sales NZ and Aus get are for shitty games.
Edit: Can't be too exclusive since a few people in Europe have it.

this. On solo you find it nice about first and second chapter. After that it really starts to be really boring.. While playing with friends its over 9000x times better and funnier.. :D All that trying to drive over friends and shit. Really, I still find it hilarious trying to run away from friend who is trying to kill you. And all those grenade throwing right next to your friend. Oh god, I miss those times.. :D

Summer sale. It's a social MMO in a single player skin. You can get a four-pack for half again the price you're talking about now, and the game doesn't have much to offer solo-ers.
