Yes. Though I think its a prequel to the first game in the series Divine Divinity.

Don't get septerra core on steam, it's not on the newest update so it freezes at a boss fight and the audio cuts off early a lot of the time. Get it on GOG.

You can play the CD version of Septerra Core on modern Windows, by running it in compatibility mode.

Oh, i haven't had the CD for it in some 15 years or so.
I tried to play it after i got it on Steam, and i guess its not really my type of game any more..well i mostly couldn't remember where to go or with whom to speak, so i put it aside for now.
But if it freezes as Johnbob said above, i may just avoid it..

New games with an old game feel? Divinity already mentioned, start there. Wishlist Wasteland 2 while you're at it. Can't think of anything else atm.
Edit: Oh, Aarklash Legacy, which is on sale right now. That's more strategy than RPG, I've heard.

Spiderweb games is pretty solid. I loved Avernum Escape From the Pit, more than I have Baldur's Gate (so far, haven't played BG as much). One catch though, it's a remake of the original, so it's old style but newer? Still has graphics that make you think you're playing in the 90s though, it's just that the UI and what not is really cleaned up and better controls, can't really go wrong IMO

Classic RPGs in the vein of Baldur's Gate would do.
(And yes, I still play tedious, longwinded old-school RPGs)
