Not sure how you meant it, since op changed it to 1:1 ratio more entered, and the Teddy games were in a $1 bundle so those more generous having 2:1 ratio usually would have had the buck too to spare to get them theirselve. ;)
If this would last a week or so i am sure he would have gotten enough entries eventually, but this only running a day, could have been difficult.

Well, you calming it's a fail without knowing anything about the intentions just seem a bit off to me. Naturally more entered with a lower ratio. This is generally the purpose of having ratios at all :)
Anyways I'm not here to argue about the finer points of SGTools filter creation. I just had to object to using the term failed in this case :P

His op is called lesson, and alot of people trying SGtools for a first time don't know how it works and sometimes mess up (setting it too harsh) with setting rules, and i doubt he would have gotten the necessary 5 entries if he kept it at 2:1, that was my only reasoning. I already got the games so personally it didn't affect me eitherway.
It's what Sgtools uses as a term failed if you don't pass it, not something i say that this was a fail or anything.

Indeed claiming was the intent. Like I said, I'm not here to argue about filer rules and they don't affect me personally either. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on if it's appropriate to label the initial approach as failed without knowing anything about the intentions. No biggie :)

This is indeed a much more reasonable interpretation. Thank you for pointing this out. I'm not sure why I read it the other way. Maybe I didn't expect anyone reporting if they failed to pass or not but my own interpretation is not better in that regard lol

Personally I think if your going to make a ratio-based sgtools check it should use a sliding scale; the higher your level, the worse it's ok for your ratio to be.

So much salt for not being able to enter a particular giveaway for a game that's already littering the lists on SG? In your particular case it wouldn't matter had he chosen value as ratio either. Maybe you're saying he shouldn't use ratios of any kind?
I may be reading this comment completely wrong though so I'm curious about what you are actually trying to say :)

Initially it was 2:1, lowered in a few minutes to 1:1, Mallymkuns was upset coz I picked not real CV but number of gifts - not that hard to achieve even 2:1 or more if you will use dailyindiegame ;)

Well, it's the upset part that has me confused. A ratio of 2:1 is not hard to achieve however your are looking at things and it's not like there isn't plenty of opportunities to win those games at the moment anyway.

Not everyone (or alot) will have financial means, even through dig, i got no money but atleast always been fortunate to have tremorgames but it really depends on the country you live in to get good offers or not.
Heck most don't even keep a 0,5:1 ratio, some just don't want to gift back, but some just can't.
I personally also don't like the SGtools filter, but to each gifter their own, if you gave away something else i wouldn't even bothered with a comment, but i also gave you a comment because i wanted you to get atleast 5 entries which with 2:1 and the time limit could have been difficult and wanted to be sure you set the rules correctly the way you wanted it to.

I really appreciate advice from more experienced users, that's why I lowered it to 1:1. Nevertheless, in there era of bundles there is no problem to be around 1:1 ;) Peace!

This is my first SGTools protected GA - don't kill me if it won't work.
Also achieved 'ratio_number_giveaways' = 2+, so added this custom rule. (edited: >=1)
Train is short, and probably most of you already have these games...
