I hate waiting for cap resets. Got to wait another week, it resets on the 2nd for me.

Luckily, I'm getting Ultra fast unlimited broadband soon. :)

And I shall be jealous. I want unlimited service.

Indeed. 1400+ games make it even worse. The fact that physical games are common, along with native gamepad support, is what makes me prefer my consoles. :P

I see that you live in New Zealand and I pretty much know nothing about the internet in there. Not bragging or anything but here in Romania you can get 1Gbps (no cap, obviously) for about 20$.

Slightly jealous. Luckily I got unlimited internet, but the connection quality and speed is terrible (comes from a company that rhymes with horizon (better name too, "hor" for horrible!)), however I am not the one paying for it. Download speed is usually not more than 625-650 KBPS, which makes about a 5MB connection (unless I am mistaken?). I want to say the monthly bill for that is about $50 or so (not including the phone service itself). We could get better, cheaper service (I believe 10-30 MBPS for between $30-$50 per month), but my grandpa retired from the company a few years back, so his "loyalty" prevents service upgrades :(.

Just seen the edit with additional games listed.
Mirror's Edge is a great game. But, do you have a gamepad? I understand from a friend that it wasn't that good without a gamepad.
Comment has been collapsed.
It was a friend who prefers PC gaming actually. They just felt the game controls were made for a gamepad.
Comment has been collapsed.
I agree in many cases. Mirror's Edge, however, is definitely not one of those cases. It's the kind of game that, for me anyway, can't be enjoyed even half as much with a controller. If you're into PC gaming, you should try Mirror's Edge with a KB/M.

I haven't played Divinity but I did play both Red Faction games to completion and I can say that both are great.
Guerrilla is a better game in my opinion than Armageddon.

get Mirror's Edge ..... its a unique different experience ......and its really cool....And it has a really nice soundtrack (imo)....
+
its only 7.2GB......
+
controller is not necessary to play and enjoy the Mirror's Edge ......i played it with keyboard there was nothing difficult to do.....

Only 7.2GB? In the land of NZ with our datacaps, only is measured in MB. And even then, not for all people.
I actually saw an advert advertising a 'great deal' of 10GB a month and some other bits, for 'only' NZ$50 (around US$40).
Comment has been collapsed.
Indeed. I'm 'fortunate' to have 75GB a month. The price scares most people though.
Comment has been collapsed.
Now I'm curious ... What do you pay per month? And what download speed do you get?
I always think my internet is a bit slow (I get 1.5 MB/s download), but then I remember I don't pay a cent for it.
Comment has been collapsed.
I pay around US$200 a month (though that includes phone, and a basic TV service that only my flatmate uses). Speeds sound awesome at around 130Mbps, but I can really only use that for a few hours if I want to keep under my cap and avoid the massive prices I get charged for going over.

Lol holy fuck. I just choked on my drink. That is horrible man, I feel you.
I feel so lucky now though. I pay 6€/month for TV, nothing for internet .. don't have a landline though, but I don't need one, as I have a flatrate for my smartphone.
How much would you have to pay to have no cap?
Comment has been collapsed.
No such option for me where I am. I can go with these guys or worse. This was the best cap I could get. Not happy with it for obvious reasons.

Different countries. Both me and the topic creator are in New Zealand, where ISPs get away with it because of the undersea lines.

here in portugal we have fake unlimited data cap... they say it is unlimited but we have a "fair use policy". there is no real cap estipulated, the say it depends on the bandwidth used on they local node you are connect too. but it's somewhere between 500gb and 1 tb, not bad at all. BTW: i have 100mbit/s download and 8mbit/s upload, 350 tv channels (about 20 in HD), landline with unlimited calls to other portuguese landlines and some hours free to certain countries and 3 cellphones with almost unlimited calls and sms to other portuguese cell numbers. not bad for 80€/110$ a month.

I enjoyed Divinity II a whole bunch actually.. I'd recommend it.

There is a website you can find by google if you search something like "can I run this game" and then you download a little java plugin that can find out the specs of your computer and compare it against any game. As far is how good divinity 2 is, my friend has the newest one (Dragon commander) and he likes it and has shown interest in Divinity 2. With the internet thing, I feel bad for those of you with GB restrictions. I have unlimitied but have recently found where my cable company tracks my useage regardless. Most months I am under 50GB of data, but one month I used almost 150GB. So I have the freedom of downloading games when I want them. Cable internet is the way of the future..... rather expensive in my opinion, but the way of the future.

I know about Can I run this game, but the question is, is it 100% accurate?
Comment has been collapsed.
Lol no. Just for fun I give in some games I already played, tried Saints Row IV recently, the site told me I wouldn't be able to run it ... I can run it on high without any problems.
Comment has been collapsed.
No site is 100%. The main thing it does is takes your computer's settings and compares it against both the minimum required settings and the recommended settings. For my old computer it wouldn't recognize shared video memory, so that tells me there are certain things like that where it is flawed. That being said, I would say if it tells you that you can probably run the game, then you probably can. There are some times when even if it says you can't that you possibly can, but that's trickier to figure out. If you already have bought a game like that it's worth trying, but if you haven't bought it then you risk buying a game you can't play.

I had a lot of fun with Red Faction: Guerrilla, although I'd recommend using a controller. The vehicles drove rather squirrely with the keyboard and mouse.
As for Divinity II, it was an interesting game, with some amusing parts, but the combat was pretty shitty. You can't block, which means you just jump around to try and dodge the projectiles and spells. You can switch between dragon form and human form, which is neat, except you can't use dragon form to hurt enemies on the ground. Basically, the game was a really good idea but with poor execution.

I didn't enjoy mirror's edge but apparently I'm in the minority. I didn't find the jumping accurate enough for such a game and got tired of the constant shooting at me

Red Faction: Guerrilla is great, Armageddon sucked. Guerrilla is wide open, with lots of side activities... And then you play the follow up and it's so linear it's almost an on-rails shooter instead, and it's horrifically closed in (Literally, as it's like 90% underground). I can't say I totally HATE RF: Armageddon... But I certainly didn't enjoy the game much. It's incredibly short as well, but honestly with how closed in it was by the end I didn't mind that it was short as I kinda just wanted it to be over...
So I'd say RF: Guerrilla is well worth downloading, but if you're limited, I wouldn't waste the bandwidth on Armageddon.
Divinity II I've only played a few hours, but what I've played was pretty awesome. Definitely worth downloading.
And Mirror's Edge is interesting. I'm a little torn on it because I'm not a huge fan of platforming, but the game has a really interesting style, and the combat is actually kinda fun. I'd say it's worth downloading too.

Hmmm, only one out of that list I've played is Mirror's Edge, which was fun. Actually I only played for a couple hours, and let my niece play the rest via family sharing, which almost counts as my finishing a game I hope. :)
Sorry, don't know about the other questions. :(

It's that time of month where I can download some games.
At the moment, I'm looking at downloading Divinity 2: Directors Cut, however, I haven't played the series before.
So my question is, how good of a game is Divinity 2? Is it worth downloading?
How about Red Faction: Armageddon or Guerrilla?
Mirror's Edge?
And will my PC be able to handle Crysis 2?
