Ew. Shame on you for linking to a youtube video without warning. Total failure to adhere to standard internet decorum. Bad.

Edit: Better thread is better. >.>

I.. darnit, I can't help but accept that. :P

(May wanna change your primary link to the Rockstar page either way, though, since it's a better link [clearer info presentation, no auto audio, no messed up youtube recommendations] than the youtube one.)

So, ooon topic now: Looking at Rockstar's trailer, it feels like they updated all the graphics EXCEPT the face models. Like, yeesh- seems like the nice new graphics just make the outdated faces really stand out (in a bad way) way too much?

I feel like the lighting isn't as crisp as the original, either? And the fingers are icky, but maybe that'd have been a bit more of an effort to fix.

Other than that, the rest seems better. A lot of the muddier, sparse landscape textures in the original seem to have more depth to them now, and there seems to be more texturing over all, especially on character bodies?

I couldn't help but notice the old blocky 3d models... I guess importing assets from RDR2 into it would be too difficult for Rockstar, but not for modders... Expecting to see at least 982375872 ultra realistic raytraced 8k mods for it.

This product includes the digital version of Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare

Fudge yeah 😎

I always hated the zombie hype in games and movies back then, but UN was actually really good (imo)

I love how ridiculous DLCs were back then.

So... Worth to get this with RDR2 then? I don't quite remember but I should play this first and THEN play RDR2, right? Or was RDR2 a prequel. I don't recall.

Timeline-wise, RDR2 is a prequel and it connects with RDR's storyline.

In other words, yes.

You can play them in any order really, just the jump from 2 to 1 will probably be more jarring graphically and mechanically than from 1 to 2 ;p

Yes, no way I'll pay $50 for a low effort remaster of an 14 years old game.

Heh you'd think but nope. A 49.99 cash grab.

If they price it right, I'm in. I had the GOTY version on PS3 years ago. Any idea if Red Dead Revolver is going to come to PC too? I never played that one.

You mean below the 49.99 that they're asking for it? Yeah not buying it at this price either.

Ouch. It's going to be a long wait for me, but I'll get it at some point. No way I'd pay more than $20, and even that's a bit high for such an old game without any new content or anything added in.

Well we waited all this time... what's a couple more years?
I don't think the price will remain this high long but they are stubborn so even disappointing sales won't make them lower it too quickly

I only recently started in on PS3. Being used to high frame rates on PC I can't believe people were ok with that kind of performance.

Is there any source to the price? I couldn't find any verification yet. I was sure hoping for around 30 which would have been an instant buy for me.

Interesting. I saw at least two sites that were announcing it at 49.99 but have since then removed the price.
I can't tell if it's because they were not supposed to announce it or if it's because they were wrong. I can't remember which sites but it wasn't trustmebro.com so they have probably be warned off.
I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Not for PC afaik, but the PS4 and Switch are 49.99$ so I would expect the same at least.

Source is the official Rockstar store. Or rather was, since they have removed it in the meantime.

If Rockstar hasn't discovered philanthropy all of a sudden it'll be a safe bet to assume they'll charge 50 bucks at least.
