So I'm planning to do an upgrade to my computer. It isn't a giant upgrade, the only things I'll be upgrading is my graphics card (currently using Intel HD) and my power supply. I have two cards in mind, the GTX 750 TI SC and the GTX 960 SC. I'm not entirely sure how performance of these two cards vary, and since there is only a ~$100 difference I could go with either one. I'm not good at making decisions, so I thought you guys could help. Mind you I can only get the SC's because my case is tiny AF. I'm planning for 1080p gaming only, I'm specifically looking for a card that can run Just Cause 3 and Rocket League on at least medium settings. Which one do you think I should get?

Which Card?

GTX 750 TI SC
GTX 960 SC

No comparison, the 960 is the better card by a large margin.

The gtx960 and make sure its the 4 gig version
Almost every game I play at 1080p uses more than 2 gig easily
EDIT: I have a 960 SC at 1320 with 4 gig

I have a GTX 750 TI and it's alright, but if you can go for the 960. It's simply better.

Out of those two, the GTX 960 is a lot better than what the relatively low price difference would suggest.
But we need more details:

  1. Exactly how much you're limited, space-wise? Specifically, number of slots, card length and width, PCI Express interface?
  2. What's your budget? You might be able to find a bargain on something older (but still good).
  3. Would you consider an AMD Radeon card? They usually have a better price/performance ratio, and they're not as bad as NVIDIA fanboys depicts them (although some NVIDIA-sponsored games run better on GeForce cards).

Now, a tech lesson for those interested:
NEVER get a low-quality PSU, as you would surely regret it, sooner or later!
When a good PSU eventually fails (and they usually last very long), nothing bad happens to the rest of the PC;
but when a cheap PSU dies (after a few months, days, or even hours), it'll kill some other PC components, or even catch fire!
Inform yourself before buying!

Before you order one do some research on a specific model. Sometimes a single letter or digit in the name can be the difference between a loud fan or a quiet one, 2GB or 4GB of RAM. Overclocked editions are rarely worth any markup as the performance increase is negligible, i.e 33fps instead of 31fps in certain situations.
And buy a decent 400-500W PSU. You don't need more power, what you do need is at least Gold efficiency status (better parts than in bronze/silver PSUs) and a good manufaturers warranty. If the manufacturer only gives 1 year then he doesn't expect his own product to last long. Minimum should be 3 years.
Edit: Just saw above comment. If a PSU dies anything can happen, i.e damage to PC components. Buying a good one reduces the risk.

Yeah, the PSU is a component I'm gonna do research on before making a purchase. As for the graphics card, have to go with the Super Clocked because the regular 960 won't fit in my case.
