I've been working on completing my DLC collection for CK2 ever since I won the game here. So, as a celebration, I'm throwing away all those extra DLC I already own.

Since I can only make 6 giveaways at a time, I'll start with a quicK giveaway of the base game and some important DLC today, and then more in the following days. ENjOY!

The GAs (no level required since that's how I won this high Quality game long ago):
Base game
The Old Gods
The Republic
Charlemagne
Sword of Islam
Legacy of Rome

OkAY, so... the final 3 DLCs are hidden behind a mini puzzle to a train, hidden right in this post. All 3 end at 19:00 GMT on Saturday, 3rd of August, 2019, and have no LEvEL requirement. The DLCs are:
* Way of Life
* Sons of Abraham
* The Reaper's Due

Some extra GAs by juttenberg (1+):
Base Game
Most important expansion

Congratulations! Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I have, right since its initial release. It seems like an eternity ago, since I pirated and played it for over a thousand hours until guilt finally took over. CK 2 is the reason I joined Steam and it still took me several more years to buy all its DLCs to date. No regrets, not any longer.

I already put almost 700 hours in the game. It's my most played game by far and it deserves my money for the fun it got me.

I used to buy about 1-2 DLCs every sale, but this year I didn't have time to play, so I didn't really continued completing it. Now it's complete.

That is debatable but who are the people who vote for Civ:BE???

true, and debate could last forever.
or, if you want, exactly what wouldn't happen with BE :D

But for the debate to be meaningful you would be required to play 6 with RF and GS, since Civs have always become much better with the expansions.

-kinda- exactly that. give it a few months more and it will be the best... :D

Civ 3 Complete is the true answer. I have over 1K hours in it (pre-steam). The Balancer Reloaded and Rise & Rule make the game fascinating after the regular game gets old-ish.

I haven't had the courage to play the game yet, but I surely will do so in the future :D

Tbh my favourite is the first. Played a lot with 3rd but never really got into its animations and gameplay/style, and haven't played enough of the 4th, 5th, 6th I bought for some reason :P

I'm very happy I could get 'The old gods' on tier 1. I'll try to get charlemagne and way of life on here.

I don't know if I can avoid the sunset invasion, maybe I should uninstall that DLC but still is nice to have.

Sunset Invasion can be turned off from in-game once you start a new campaign. Check the ruleset screen which appears after you select the nation/dynasty you shall play with. You don't have to uninstall the DLC or disable it from the selector, as those are outdated methods.

what's wrong with this dlc?

It adds a fantasy Aztec invasion which appears either in Western or Southern Europe. Its lethality is comparable to the historically accurate Mongol invasion which devastated Eastern Europe and a large part of Asia. Nothing is wrong with the DLC if you wish to roleplay that kind of difficulty, but it can get pretty chaotic having to fight on two fronts in the 13th Century AD, if you're already managing a vast empire.

I've played every Civ game from the first to the fifth, and for me, I have more memories of great times in Civ III. Sure, Civ IV and V made good changes, but they also reversed a few changes that I wish were still in the game.

Civ4 by far. Insane modding scene that extends the game's life immensely.

why can't I vote civ1? I played that game so much in the 90s and was the first strategy I ever played so (perhaps because of nostalgia) it is unbeatable for me:-)

Are Civ 1 and 2 on Steam? I added a poll with Steam games, so I couldn't really add those 2. I would have added freeciv, too. Or that Android version.

Say, did you happen to buy https://store.steampowered.com/app/329013/EBook_Crusader_Kings_II_Tales_of_Treachery/ ? Just curious... :)

Noticed I'm missing that one but for some reason don't feel like buying it... :) I already own enough unread books in real life, no need to make it worse by adding e-books to the pile... :)

I don't have it.
But honestly, that DLC is just to support Paradox. You can probably find it online if you just want to read it.

Sadly I'm too far behind on my "real books" backlog, so I'll probably never read it, even if I do look for it out there on the internet somewhere... :)

Anyway, Paradox got enough support from my buying all their other CK2 dlc, no sense pouring more money down a hole... :) Feel dumb enough for buying the "deluxe version" of https://store.steampowered.com/app/859580/Imperator_Rome/ ... :) Maybe after a dozen dlc that one will start to look interesting... :)

And a question if you don't mind. Besides the DLCs on the $1 tier, what others do I need? Thanks! ^^

  • Charlemagne if you want to waste even more hours of your life.
  • Way of Life is not needed, but it's free stats
  • Horse Lords makes you OP but savage
  • Monks & Mystics and Holy Fury add to the roleplay experience and change pagan gameplay

You don't really need any DLC.
