Hello, I recently was lucky enough to win a giveaway :)
I got the key through email and I'm excited to try out the game. Unfortunately I will not be near a computer for another week, and from my knowledge you can't use keys without the steam client. Will the key still be valid in a week?

Yes. Unless the creator of the giveaway doesn't know and accidentally gives the key out again to someone who activates it or something.
