Today I noticed that one random game disappeared from my library.

I checked the newer ones and all are shown in the list.

Now I wonder what Steam removed and why?

Is there a way to check what got deleted?

Thanks ;)

EDIT

IT APPEARS THAT THE MISSING GAME IS CIVILIZATION IV - COLONIZATION (duplicate). THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE HELP !

The main reason they'll remove a game is if the purchase was revoked so it was likely something you traded for.

Get any great deals on a game lately?

Hmm, I only purchased COD World at War from an other store but its in the list.
Rest of the games were from bundles or that free stuff lately (free keys).

Revoked games give you a warning

Not always. Some will just disappear without warning.

I sugest you to make an account on IsThereAnyDeal, they keep an eye on your library and send you an email if something disappear from it(and also tell you about sales and other stuff). You could also check https://store.steampowered.com/account/ to see your games.

Usually if it's a game you bought or traded for it'll give you a green banner telling you what was removed.
I too had one less game today but I think it was a beta that was removed.

Where is this green banner indicated? Didnt notice anything...
Yeah, I think it´s a minor issue like a beta etc. too, but I want to know :D

I haven't had it happen to me but I thought others said it showed a green banner. Couldn't find a screenshot of it on Google though, but did find this. I couldn't figure out which of the betas in my list were gone. Let me know if you find out.

Checked the sync list here at steamgifts and compared to my library like "Guiga" mentioned. Haven´t noticed any missing games, so it must be my duplicate listing of "Civilization IV Colonization"

If you haven't synced ur account with steamgifts yet after that hppened, it may hold your gamelist in its filter...

If u synced or u didn't synced after u got that game... Move along! =P

it could have been a free weekend game. those appear in your account and then get removed after the period is over (i dont know what day you last looked at your games count).

I need to know, cant sleep haha Although I think it was like a beta or something.
It was a time span of 4 hours maybe? 420 games => 419

steam usually has a popup when they do this telling you what happened. if it was a free to play game or a beta or something though they wont do this. if its a game with a price then they tell you, like i won surgeon simulator from steamgifts and a week later the game was removed cause the guy that did the giveaway either used a stolen card or didnt have enough money to pay and i got a popup from steam telling me it was removed due to payment issues. its not something you can miss either as it pops up right in your face

WoW, thats a nice info right there, didn´t know that...so it must have been some kind of f2p or beta. Thanks :)

Check your Civilization IV games, normally there should be two of each as the Mac versions are considered a different game. I mention this because my second version of Civ IV Colonization dissapeared a few hours ago.

This could be the reason, mine has gone too. Funny thing is the second copy of the base game and the other DLC (Beyond the Sword & Warlord) is still listed.

Yeah, mine "Civ 4 Colonization" has disappeared too. Thanks for the help, had never noticed it because of duplicates -_-
