Help Me Name These Songs?! [Giveaways Inside! Warning: *Some* SGTools!]

So I've been stuck for over a year on trying to find the names of these songs. None of my friends have been able to name them either. Hopefully someone here recognizes them and can tell me where they're from.

Exhibit A
The first piece is the first song from this Smash Bros combo video here -Original song and remix found! Thanks to strangebedfellows and JohnyJ!

Exhibit B
This is music that one of my friends remixed. The first one definitely sounds like a Mega Man song, but I don't know and it could very well be something else. The second sample is the same song as the one used in the combo video. The simple solution would be to ask my friend. Except we haven't been friends for over a year now so that would be both awkward and un-simple.
