Yes, pretty much happens with titles that are rarely, if ever, on sale... i can't remember Spore being ever discounted, except maybe for Chrismas

Like people said, certain games that are big enough to warrant a high price on release but not big enough that it gets regular sales/price drops tend to never be gifted because the price will stay inflated even after people stop caring about the game.
Also, the vast majority of giveaways on SG is from sales. Both on steam and elsewhere.

Besides all the reasons stated before, that list is for games that weren't given away in a PUBLIC giveaway, which means they might've been gifted in private or group.

I was looking to do my first give away and I thought it would be nice to do a game off the wishlist. I see some games that I just don't understand why they have never been gifted before, for instance SPORE. It's a great little game and has been around a while, so could some of you who have been around a while explain to me why something like that has never been gifted? Is it some crazy reason like it has never been on sale?
Any insight will help, it kinda made me nervous when I saw it about doing a gift of it like somehow it's broken. =p
