Seems like they finally notice, after losing some major players which pulled their ads off of YT, that they have to do something about it - and as always, they try to go the most cost effective road by automatizing the process xD. That's what happens when you got no real competition to keep you in check. Don't know if there's any way for a - I assume - small channel like yours to make enough noise to get heard...

Hopefully they'll also ban the channels that have fake giveaways, virus links, and clickbaits. :P

Youtube's going full TV ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHqybEnPqbQ
The one's that won't go voluntarily due the change in add revenue, will be purged in one way or another.
What remains are mundane everyday trash and other "obscure" channels still willing and able to continue.
Their automated clean up might be already in full swing and just swept you along with others
straight to the gutters - if you keep trying you might get it unbanned.

YouTube mass banned multiple channels, for supposed "spam, scams or commercially deceptive content", and single allowed appeal usually auto-rejected in 5-20 minutes. Amongst many many banned are teachers, who uploaded educational material, and small to medium business owners, who uploaded videos about their product. Kotaku had a story regarding this in 2011 called YouTube Bans Indie Dev's Trailer Account as "Scams, Spam and Commercially Deceptive". Is it something to do with the recent boycott of Google were many companies pulled their adds from them? There are many confused people on Google forum who have no idea what to do.
