As much as I liked Batman and Green Lantern when I was young I always had a hard time liking Superman, he's just too much and without any decent weakness (Kryptonite is a lame excuse for a weakness). Spider-Man was always my favorite though, he's got powers but he's also brilliant (comics version is at least). He's also got a life to deal with and can be hurt and killed, but what makes him the best for me is that taunting habit of making fun of his opponents while fighting 'em.

For that and because the universe in a whole always seemed more interesting to me .. I'm Marvel.

On a side note.. if you read Spider-Man.. what do you think of the whole Doc Oc takes over Spidey storyline. Personally I can't wait for them to get rid of that ass and bring back good ol' Petey in his body, I miss his humor.

Marvel since I found it was really difficult to identify with DC heroes when I was growing up. Just had a lot of trouble in general getting into the heroes DC offered. They were too good. Almost to the point of being satirical. Though I think they did a great job on villains..

But DC gets bigger props for current video games. DC Universe Online is much better than Marvel Heroes.

I'm a DC fan, but I respect what Marvel does and I especially appreciate their cinematic universe. That being said, I wish DC would try making another live action Green Lantern movie, and maybe a decent Flash one as well.

WHENS MAHVEL
If I had to choose by entire franchise, I'd go with Marvel. If I had to go with favorite characters, Batman and the Watchmen would bring me to DC despite Watchmen not being part of the DC Universe.

I grew up reading both Spider-Man and Batman so 10 years ago I wouldn't be able to pick. Now though, Marvel jumps ahead a fair bit. DC doesn't have many heroes I like outside of Batman whereas I like most Marvel heroes, except Fantastic Four they suck.

Marvel.
So I'm kind of disappointed that Scribblenauts went for DC instead.

Also, currently enjoying watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. :)

Love Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, by far one of the best shows in a long time. I really hope it sticks around for a while.

I hope they pick up the pace and make it more then a Special-Ops-let's-waste-some-bullets-team. The end of ep3 looked interesting though.

Scribblenauts didn't really chose DC, as WB owns DC comics and Scribblenauts it took nothing compared to what it would take to licence Disney owned characters.
That being said, I am more of a DC fan, so I am loving the new Scribblenauts.
I am also enjoying the shield show, though I think it could use at least d-list marvel heroes and or villians since right now its just cameos from shield operatives already seen in the movies.

The ending of episode 3 implied Graviton. :)

(Not that I know anything about him)

Yeah, the whole episode sorta implied that, but the only thing is how long will it take for us to actually see him come back, my issue with that is it feels a lot like most of the marvel comics I end up trying to read which is that they keep teasing that it will be cool and neat stuff will happen but it takes forever or just doesn't, not to say that a little build up is a bad thing, but its a joss whedon show so it will probably only last one season which means there was a lot of teasing for nothing, just a thought.

I grew up on normal, fun, down-to-earth European comics, so I couldn't care less about anything involving "superheroes".

Well, Donald Duck comics have been my everyday entertainment for as long as I can remember.
American, but much more commonly found in houses in Finland than its original country of origin.

They're not really mutually exclusive, but I suppose I'd go slightly toward DC, cos' they have Vertigo imprints; also, I really liked the spiderman issue when doc oc took over, and the beginning of superior spider man, but it's really getting tiring; it was cool for a while, but peter parker needs to return soon.

I read both, but I tend to favor Marvel: the big DC heroes bore me, and I find myself only interested in the fringes of the DC universe (I also don't particulary care for the New 52). Vertigo tends to be awesome, though (I still can't accept that they cancelled Hellblazer to create a PG-13 version of Constantine).
Regarding Superior Spider Man: I quite like it! I'm all for shaking up the status quo, as long as it's well written and thought out, so yes on the Superior, hell no on the Clone Saga.

This is the third year I renew my Marvel Unlimited subscription, and I'm pretty sure it isn't going to be the last :)

About Spidey, yup, Doc Oc is a pain in the arse, can't wait for Peter to come back.

This days, it would be either Image Comics or Avatar Press, since Marvel decided they'll "kill" The Punisher, taking off On-Going series.

I've read I think two comic books in my life (both X-Men), so I don't have much background. But my favorites in other media are Batman, the X-Men (Gambit in particular), and Spawn. Superman and Spider-Man are both boring to me. Superman's too polished, and Spider-Man's too homely. Iron Man's cool, but very similar to the Bat and I prefer the darker persona.
