It would appear that if you have previously purchased Dear Esther on Steam, you get the Unity Engine update of the game Dear Esther Landmark Edition free of charge.

Dear Esther: Landmark Edition has been remade with the Unity engine, featuring a full audio remaster, and the addition of a brand-new Directors' Commentary mode, allowing players to explore the island and learn what inspired the game and how it was crafted by The Chinese Room and Rob Briscoe.

Definitely can't complain about that. :X

Just noticed that as well. I like dev commentaries so I'll probably replay it later this year.

Glad I didn't play it yet :) Sometimes, it pays off to hold the play for a time. Well, naturally for patches, fixes, and DLC-s, but sometimes, the devs remake, remaster, and so you can play the game with the newly added features, new graphics, etc. Got a few remastered editions in the last years, and I like it how many of those are free, or at a very reasonable price.
