If you didn't pay cash, a bank statement should be enough. At least here.

Fan is fully functioning, The guy at the store tested it.

Then it's strange. Maybe static electricity somehow got to your CPU? Because it can't just stop working without any reason. Are you sure it was CPU? Maybe RAM or motherboard failure. Had some problems on my old PC with one RAM slot. One time when I turned on PC RAM slot just popped and it started to smell like a burned plastic. Thought some condensators on motherboard broke since it was old PC but it was just RAM slot. I put my RAM in second slot and PC still works.

Going off what the guy said, "the memory leak caused the cpu to cycle and break its failsafe" whatever the fk that means i have no idea, Sounds like bullshit to me lol

Fuck EA, fuck next gen, has nothing to do with you, they forced you to play BF4. :P
Kidding aside, I'm sorry to hear that. Hope you can do something to get back on gaming. ^_^

Well i'm not even going to bother, Not like Ea is going to admit to that now is it.
Would be a pointless excercise :(

Well, you got countless golden games in your library that run on a calculator...
And while EA is indeed evil, I'm pretty sure you can not kill hardware by running a software, no matter how shitty it is unless the hardware was faulty already and gonna crash sooner or later at maximum throttle.
2 month old CPU --> get it replaced right now from whoever you bought it from.

I switched to an AMD card after the Nvidia drivers issues on and off the past few years - the drivers since 275 were overvolting and frying GFX cards...

Yea, and BF3 was just as great as bf:bc2...the main "improvments" are in bussiness model...sucking wallet highly optimized. BF:BC2 is still less bugged than BF3...and before BF4 come close to BF3 there will be BF5 with new dlc's and new bugs. BF and COD is same kind of cash sucking. I dunno why but it looks like Counter-Strike players are more demanding and respecting theirselves and their money. Condition Zero bring nothing new and was forgotten quickly, CS:Source moved the graphic to next level but wasn't as good as first one, so most of people left with 1.6. Finally CS:GO appear and is proper successor of first Counter-Strike...and you know what? There will be no new CS next year, updates will come out quite often as they already do, but they come for free. You don't have to use your wallet to download 2 new maps every month...and PC every year when "less optimized new version of the same" go out.

While im not an expert in these things, could it be that your new cpu had problems running with the other hardware and possibly caused some kind of electrical discharge or something? I can and will not believe a videogame or a similar software destroyed any part of a computer. It had to be flawed or struggle to run with your hardware setup, maybe you used your cpu slightly more then before and it showed its inner flaw, but it certainly wasn't the games fault.

I thought it might be something similar. When i just bought my pc the components weren't properly balanced or whatever the technical term is, so things broke 4 times at about each time after about a month or two interval, once my motherboard fried, and i believe they basically said PSU caused it, i don't remember if it fried as well, but they changed a few parts to get me off their back and now it works fine for 5 years without crashes. OP might want to contact a professional about his pc build, that too might be causing the problem

if you have a cheap/crappy psu that will ruin everything.

BF3 beta or game I think it was, tried to force you to update your graphics drivers before playing..

I have the full game and it doesn't. Well of course if you have 2 year old drivers that dont work with the game or are really buggy with the game, you should update. I update drivers a month after they are released (mainly because of all the times Nvidia has blown up videocards with their updates XD).

Sims 3 and Prey, copies given to me by my friend both systematically destroyed 2 systems of mine. They weren't spectacular and were pretty old, but they failed in ridiculous ways, including a HDD which exploded and a video card taking a piss.

Using some testing software like aida 64 and prime 95 will give your pc a torture on hardware, but it also test out if your system runs stable without over heating issues or damaged hardware or faulty installation. If your pc can pass those stress test, then it is good to go. Those softwares are used to test overclocked pc but you can use them to test stability.

How much Watt is your Powersupply?
I had it on my old pc, started company of Heroes and whoosh same shit as you. Had to bury my motherboard but did get warranty.
In my case the problem was with the PSU. Company of Heroes was a very demanding game those days (like BF4 is now) and it asked more power than I could supply which resulted in a POOF
EDIT: Oh, techguy said wattage was ok. Just how many Watt is your PSU?

I always put my computers papers together with my important documents. Next time do the same. good luck!

Blame of EA, which wanted to release the game so soon, before COD: Ghosts. You know, money is money.
And Dice is getting all the crap about it.

I got bsod twice and could not get it to restart once it did restart bf4 was still putting out a memory leak?? No idea how but several seconds later...whoosh everything goes off and pc makes a horrid noise, Took it to the local store to confirm my suspicions and 2 month old cpu is sleeping with the fishes.
Update
