i agree with PsyKo, it depends on whether you are looking to play coop or competitive

This is speculation, speculation that might be quite wrong since Tripewire themselves said they are not done with the game. Not only is there two new dlc listings for this game, there is 22 new achievements added. Nobody knows what any of this is, but the fact they haven't corrected it yet implies it is added for a reason. :)

I would guess last new-content Summer Event.
And one more for Halloween, maybe Winter?
But after that, all hands will work on KF2.
But content-less Events will be back in next years for sure, it's not like they have to pay to make them, just change few things on Steam.

I would say Killing Floor due to the community size differences. NS2 isn't dead by any means, but I do believe that it is lacking. NS2 is a versus mode while Killing Floor is a survival waves thing. NS2 is competitive, Killing Floor is cooperative. :p

Oh man, that's a tough one. As mentioned previously, KF is more cooperative whereas NS2 is more competitive but both are very teamwork oriented. Both communities are friendly and helpful although I run into more incompetent teams in KF (dependent on difficulty setting). Both have their fair share of communicative members on mic (NS2 maybe a bit more). I think the NS2 game mechanics have more depth although getting to know and strategize against KF enemies can be fairly involved too. NS2 has a very steep learning curve but is perhaps less monotonous and more re-playable if you find repetitious waves of enemies boring. The KF player base is probably larger so you might want to determine server availability in your region. Both developers are great although NS2 updates have shifted to community support. The KF devs still put on holiday and summer events which usually include new maps and achievements. At this point in time though, with 270 hours in KF and 120 hours in NS2, I prefer KF (slight bias though: I usually play KF with a close friend and I'm not great at NS2 although that doesn't detract from my enjoyment as much as it might in other games). NS2 is still an excellent game which I'd recommend you try at some point.

I have both and i love them both, get KF if you like killing hordes of different mutants, feeling badass (the weapons in this game... my God) and if you ever played an RTS and wanted to play as one of the units or commanding real players (or just like tactical FPSs where running and gunning isn't how you win) get NS2

KF is a nice one. Also I heard that devs creating KF2 on Unreal Engine 4, may be nice too...

KF if you like coop vs AI and more on the slaughter hordes of enemis side. Natural selection is more tactical and team focused, and has the rts part as well, mainly pvp. They are completely diffrent. Anyway as far as i remember las time i played natural selection it was badly optimised and loading took forever, plus it was bundled before once or twice, so I would only buy it if 90% off.
I liked gunplay in killing floor more, the only downside of the game is that it gets repetitive fast.
