I enjoyed Far Cry 3 and many RPG's, same price, big studios behind both. FC4 looks pretty good but maybe DA:I will be more fun? Hard choice. What to buy in your opinion and why? Thanks for all replies. :-)

Wait for both to come out and see some gameplay. :p

I saw gameplay for both (FC4 today, DA:I from gamescom(?)) and still don't know. I just want to know what people think about these games. ;-)

In fact you said a lot and you're right - FC4 looks like improved FC3 with new map and DA like whole new game. ;-)

I enjoyed FC3 but the world did not draw me in as much as Dragon Age did.

Dragon Age, hands down!

Haven't played much from both series while i own most of the previous titles on both sides (think i have all DA titles but mssing Far cry 1 and blood dragon).

Seriously it looks like a game that will kick ass, i just hope it isn't completly broken on release. Far Cry 4 also looks good, but Dragon Age got my attention with the videos so far.

Far Cry for me. I love those types of games but strangely I've never actually played the dragon age games.

although i dont have high hopes for DAI, i think its going to be much better than FC4, simply because as RPG it offers tons of more content

Personally, I have DA:I preloaded and everything! :D

Far Cry 3 was fun, but I got bored pretty quick.

Dragon Age, hands down. That game looks like it could be one of the best RPG's this decade.

Far Cry 4, while looking awesome, is also looking a whole lot like Far Cry 3 with elephants.

I would go for DA myself, but I'm not a huge fan of fps games in the first place.

I am super interested in both games, but after watching quicklooks, there's a level of immersive power fantasy that really looks fun in Far Cry 4. Meanwhile, the combat of DA3 looks frustrating, particularly with the limited healing options. Even world-wise, why on earth would you go to a land with pissed off dragons and not bring a tub of healing potions and some people trained to heal?

In both cases, though, I'm holding off for PC performance reports, and to see if the post-review reception is as positive as the reviews themselves.

I'm thinking of getting dragon age but I only have a gtx480 so I dunno, I never played the second one either only the first one.

Neither are the kind of game I like, so all I know of is the review embargo dates. For DA:I, the embargo ended a week before release. For Far Cry, some reviewers are having trouble getting review code.

So that says that EA was very confident about how DA:I would be reviewed. While Ubisoft were worried about the reviews.

far cry 4 is the best

Far Cry 4, as far as those who have played it have said, is FC3 with some improvements. Consensus says, "quite fun!"

DA Inqusition, however, is an RPG like DAO with some of the best elements taken from DA2. The result is a game with tons of fun things to do and a lot of replayability. Consensus says, "goodbye real life!"

So, in the end, it comes down to which you prefer, FPS, or RPG. Personally, I plan to get both while not having time to play either.

That's what I'll eventually do. I still haven't played FC1, FC:BD, FC3, DA:O/A, or DA2. My backlog really gets bogged down by game series with frequent releases. I need to focus more.

yeah, it happens also to me, with all them indies all over the place. it really distracts me the idea of having to at least take a look to any single game before concentrating in the ones that really matter (which i never reach to do).

Different genres. It's like comparing potatoes with oranges. They are both good in their own way.

I have DA:I preloaded already, but that's because RPGs always take precedence for me and I would rather not support Ubisoft in any way or form.

And that is all I want to know - just your opinion. Now I know you don't like Ubisoft as many others (it gives me to think why). Thanks. ;-)

Far Cry 3 is not an RPG, it's an open world FPS with a few RPG elements.

DA:O well that is a real RPG, I just hope that DA:I will be more like DA:O and less then DA2

Now to your question.. U buy the genre u like more, in the hope that they fix the problems that Far Cry 4 has with AMD GPUs
Also u can be sure that u will need a stronger machine to run Far Cry4 then u will need to run DA:I

DA:I has been banned in India (well not banned but EA fears it will be and it won't be released here, not even digital downloads) due to its gay content so I'll be missing out something that I have desperately waited for 3 years.

As for Far Cry 4, it is really great and have continued the legacy Far Cry 3 left.

Far Cry 4. It has alot of cool things in it, compared to Far Cry 3. From what I've seen and played, this is just coming from me, it's like your expecting the unexpected.

From what I've seen, Far Cry 4 seems like a 3.5, new story and some gameplay tweaks, but it's essentially the same game with a new map and new things here and there.
Inquisition on the other hand, takes the best from Origins and DA2 and merges it a completely new game, with a huge open world map and lots of improvements.
