So there was a Furi update recently
https://steamcommunity.com/app/423230/discussions/0/1734336452597182781/

Incorporing to the game a new "mode" (invincible) to defeat bosses easily, this way anyone can enjoy the story, even the soundtracks and discover the plot by their own, I already recommended my friends to play the game with this mode if they cannot defeat the bosses to reach the end, so if any of you guys didn't buy the game because you think you cannot defeat the bosses don't worry anymore and enjoy the game :)

I just wanted to share this with the community since is one of my favourite games (and sountracks)

I don't come empty handed but I don't have any gem yet sorry :

That's really good news for guys like me. I hate boss battles. I barely made it to the end of Arkham City. I use that as an example, because clearly the bosses in that game are not all that hard.

Watching speed runners trounce boss fights in milliseconds always makes me happy.

Oh if you hate boss battles definitely don't get Cuphead. It's like 95% boss battles. I wasn't aware of this till after I got it so I'm guessing other people might not be aware of this as well. It's a great challenging game though in my opinion.

Good, I'd say. More options is always a good thing.

It looks good but I don't think I'd enjoy the gameplay much. I already have a huge backlog too.

Nice. Love boss battles, though. I'm trying to imagine Hyper Light Drifter with 'em... just not the same. And Undertale... and 90% of RPGs.

So, the game that is 100% boss battles, releases a patch that more or less skips playing the boss battles. Wouldn't have it been easier for them to just link a video of a longplay then? I mean, I get that they want to make it more accessible, but doing what Warner Brothers does—just without the attached fees—and patch in a "skip entire game button" may not be the best of ideas in a video game. =)

As long as it's free and optional, who cares. I liked the similar mode in Observer, so you can enjoy the game without the tedious hide and seek sequences with the monsters.

Understandable, however observer_ is technically an interactive film in the first place, with tacked-on gameplay elements and a first-person view point (which is an existing film element, just barely anyone uses it beyond some art movie directors). Furi is supposed to be an arcade/fighting game that also happens to have a long story around all of the boss battles. Think of something like Cuphead, only less Fleisher-y. (And also think of the sheer fanboy rage on the Cuphead forums when the idea of an easy mode there popped up.)

You youngsters and your fancy content-tourist modes, thinking you're all that. Bah! Back in my day this would have been a cheat code... and it would have been in the game from day one. #Grumpy

Thanks for the giveaways though. :)
