Not able to gift a game throws error. Unable to raise ticket steam refuses to take ticket says - You already have an existing help request for this issue. A duplicate request cannot be created. Seeing games in backlog as failed purchase already bought for self or gifted successfully. Is it shot or server glitch or cloud or what? Brother's account wont show inventory showing cards already tarded away and not showing existing cards.

Are you gifting with steam wallet? (you might have gotten soft banned for that feature but you can gift external payment + steam wallet probably)

Why would that be? I had no gifting issue till today early morning. I hope not! If they do so end to gifting. Their loss not mine. I have been gifting for 10 years. But here strange glitch is showing like that backlog of pending purcahses already completed so could be cloud issue.

Why would they canceling your steam wallet money gifting be their loss? As they rather you spend real money and insert it in steam than spend money that's already in steam...
Could be a server issue, just gave you another possibilty that's it. (I have it)

Lets hope. Anyways its their loss coz I will stop gifting people. That means less business. I have stopped using credit, debit, online payment systems.

I still don't understand less business of what, maybe you can say Steam got a player who got a game and will play that game and will be on the platform more but that's about it...(I wouldn't call it that meaningful as "less business") Anyways, hope it's just server/internet issue and let's drop the other subject.

It's happened in the past for me when gifting a lot more games than what I purchase for my own account using Steam Wallet.

I think yes there seems a trigger and cool off. 3 days later working. If tyo raise steam they support insist on a restriction that automatic seems comes and goes my brother reports.

Is there a fish in here or did you just sell a lot of cards recently hoping to suddenly gift games to random new “friends”?

I always sell lot of cards round the year and gift tons of games to friends. All year round. Its not even sale specific disorder. I have over 50k market transactions overall too date.

Brother's account wont show inventory showing cards already tarded away and not showing existing cards.

Did he purchase a game > farmed cards > traded them > refunded the game before 3hr played?

What makes you think? No not refunded any purchase after 'playing'. Strangely trying to seek help on purchases not completed I see a list of games whose purchase was successful showing as failed purchase something is not right in cloud. No my brother gets gifts from me he can't refund on own.

Trading cards drop after 3 hours because by then the game isn't "refundable" anymore. At some point in time, Steam introduced an account flag of "trusted" which allows for card drops before the 3 hour mark. Exploiting that - trading those cards and then refunding the game will certainly be something Steam will eventually take action against(if not already)

As for the puchases/gifting, your account has probably raised some red flags, is under a soft lock and might be under investigation. Gifting games to other accounts is a convenience which is heavily exploited and might be the #1 offense that get people in trouble

You might get a permanent ban on gifting with Steam wallet funds. Keep an eye on your account notifications

Nope. No refunds like that. If they soft blocked gifting than it's not a issue. However reason I asked because account is showing screwed data in purchases completed still showing pending in error so was wondering it's overloaded screwed server or cloud data broke down.

Steam systems are fine. If they had problems, it would be all over Reddit/Steam forums/here, clearly not the case

Maybe volume of gifting/trading have flagged your account

Just noticed another new quirk. Sale cards got after crafting badges have 5 day trade market hold. Is there no limit to paranoia?

After raising ticket its resolved. I wanted to gift 2 winners of my gifts here my region locked from store. LOL. In one case I sent more than equal value sale cards for instant sell and wallet fill to buy gift on own. Second guy sent the gift pack finally resolved. Stressful. Defnitely some glitch in cloud. Support clarified nothing merely its fixed.

If you gift double the amount of money you buy for yourself, you will temporarily be soft-lock until resolve

ie, buy yourself 60$ of game, gift maximum 120$
