Yes, but do you know the amount of users this site gets? Quite a lot. These small amounts do add up. 9gag has few ad spots and they do quite good financally. Less is more:). Plus the adds these day are so tailored to each user that users are bound to click it sooner or later.
I'm not saying that it's bad though, he should get every cent.

I used to be part of a scanlator group where the person whose server we are still using stopped being part of that community years ago to the point where he is sometimes next to impossible to find when an issue comes. So because an online site/community uses a private server, it doesn't necessarily means the owner of the server is still part of that community.

Well, I somehow agree. There are good puzzles and there are shitty puzzles. How? Some people think puzzles are just about knowledge, whilst it's more about effort. That's why most puzzlers tend to make a puzzle that requires knowledge of certain things. I don't like that, that's why all my puzzles has no knowledge based questions or whatsoever, I like people to do the effort.
