Nobody will ban you for not delivering the game if you have reroll ticket waiting in the queue, because that alone serves as a proof that you do have intention of delivering the gift.
So answer is - no, you don't. You can wait as long as it takes, although I'd leave a message for the winner so he knows what is going on.
