Summary:
Steam version is censored and in German language only, but patches up to 1.2 (latest) thus not so buggy. This is the only version of the game that you can activate if you are living in Germany.
GamersGate version is European version, multi-language and not-censored, but patches up to 1.1 and filled with tons of bugs.

This isn't some "this giveaway is fake thing" but more just a general heads up. Gamersgate had a recent sale on SR2, so a few gifts might be showing up here. However, Gamersgate's version of the game is borked. Their steam activation is a censored German version, and also cannot be played online with anyone using normal versions of the game. So, save your points and a future headache, and if any pop up, try to ask where the creator got the key from.
