Cogs, rarely glitching and giving an extra copy.

If you own Cogs and redeem Humble Bundle 3, there is a rare glitch where you may or may not get an extra giftable copy of Cogs. I sent word in to HB3 staff and have gotten word back.

Paraphrasing
" It shouldn't happen but it doesn't sound all that bad if it does".

So they're ok with it. enjoy your random luck

I got an extra copy but only because I already owned it. I just assumed that you get extra copies of any games you already owned.

It happened to Trine during the Frozenbundle and was unintended.

Steam has quite strict policy of what games you can get giftable copies if you "re-purchase" the game.

Sadly, I didn't gen any extra copy of Cogs :(

I already owned cogs and didn't get a second copy either. I was sad, but then again, anyone I would give cogs to will get hib3 anyway.

Hubmlebundle support says about getting free gift pass of any game from HIB3 on steam if you had it before is not supported. They want to implement it to future HIBs, but for now they told that dont't work.

Hmm... I see a an unsent cogs there on my manage gifts and guess passes menu. Thanks for the notice, though I wonder if there is a point in gifting it since everybody and their cousin owns a HiB3 by now.

So you are the lucky one. I had Cogs, buy Hib3, reg on steam and no gift pass. Thats why I had asked Hib support.

Oooh! I didn't know about it until I read this thread, checked my gifts on Steam and it's there! I had Cogs from the Potato Sack Pack already. Expect it to go on SG soon then :).

No, the extra copy of Cogs is a rare bug and is not intended to happen.

No - none of the HIB games should be eligible for an extra gift. It's just a glitch with Cogs.

Guess I'll gift it after HIB3 ends, together with HIB3's that a friend-that-shall-not-be-named asked me to gift here, since he already filled his 3 quota. ;)
