what does "*" mean when creating a new GA?

It means the game is in the bundle list and thus its value will be calculated as explained here.

It would be really nice, if just under the "Important" part on the create a giveaway page, just above where you select a game, it would include a little note saying something like...

Any game marked with a * means it has been part of a bundle and there for will not receive full Contributor Value (CV) right away. Please read the FAQ for a full explanation of how bundle games and their Contributor Values work.

If support likes the idea of having that on the creation page and wants to use that exact working I use go for it. It makes sense to inform people right then and there what the * means instead of having no information, and not even a link sending people to the right place to find out what it means. Its not going to fix it for everyone, there will still be some who don't bother reading, but hey it would be better then not having any info there at all.

Now let's wait for the "why my CV is at $30?" thread....

There should be a notification in the giveaway page when you choose bundled games and you hit your bundle limit, there's an info box appear in the right side saying something in line like "Hey! You won't get full CV of this game, more info here (link to the FAQ)".

At least people will be aware of CV policies from there instead of forcing them to read a long FAQ.

It could be me, but it was a little bit unclear to me as well the first time. I managed to find it eventually, but it's not that easy to find. So I see why we every now and then people start getting frustrated about CV (not you OP, just generally speaking.)
