I'm in desperate need of a song with great lyrics to analyze! I have to write a 1000-1200 word essay analyzing any song's lyrics of my choice. A song with meaningful lyrics but that is still a song is what I'm looking for. Something a bit for mainstream would be nice...
Please help!

EDIT: I can't access Youtube where I'm at right at the moment, so please don't post YT links.

Maybe you need a song without lyrics: that`s what I listen to when I am in a bad mood ... or a few months ago, when I was playing a farming lane on LoL. :))

I'll cast one more vote for Bob Dylan, you could throw a dart at random and hit something good...

Hmm, or random something else, "Dear Mama" is pretty good. Not sure how you'd get 1000 words out of it though... Good luck!

Have you tried using a proxy to unblock YouTube? Google can help you find one. If you don't want to do that, Google "mp3 search engine". You can usually stream the song without having to download it directly.

Is that a joke or is the song really called Dance of the Manwhore? If it is, man is the name deceiving!

Justin Bieber - Baby. The lyrics are so deep and emotional. It would be perfect for your essay.

Enough of irony and sarcasm, Coldplay - Paradise has very good lyrics to analyse.

Maybe try the Idiot Flesh - Drowning. It's great.
Or try some of the Nick Cave lyrics, they're great, like As i Sat Sadly By Her Side. You can write a good essay about it i think.
