So I made the jump to Windows 10 on release day. Am I sorry I downgraded from Windows 7.

So many problems. So much agrivation. The most annoying this is that at random times it will just block ALL internet access. The little yellow icon on the bottom of the screen. I use Norton with my father on his. Been using it for a while. I turned off the windows firewall and it's still doing it. I disabled Norton and used the Windows firewall and still doing it. It;s not the modem or router. That was tested. The only thing that fixes it is rebooting the pc. I have never rebooted this much since I got this pc. And yes I had a legit copy of 7. Came with my pc.

Can ANYONE offer some assistance for this?

And as advertised, here's a small GA as thanks.

Well, me father has paid for Norton for a few years and I like it. especially since it's a multple user copy. So why waste the money? Especially since I know it works well.

If it can't be resloved, I'm going to re-upgrade back to 7.

id say its a problem with your firewall. Try uninstalling and reinstalling your firewall and antivirus software. They may be blocking the internet connection for some reason.

BTW: might wanna rethink that norton choice

Figure out exactly what chipset your Ethernet adapter is, and get the official drivers from that company's website. I was actually having trouble with my Ethernet just disconnecting randomly when I upgraded to Windows 10, and installing the official drivers (instead of the generic drivers Windows installs) fixed it for me.
