That's nothing. I'm advising against it cause you can lose your account.
Steam is the same way. If you use a VPN to obtain something on the store, you can lose your account.

Seems odd to take such a huge risk considering I recently purchased the Tomb Raider Survivor Trilogy with all DLC for just 12,49€ but then again what do I know.

I generally don't think people know they can lose their accounts for this, as it's definitely on the more extremely ends of things to happen as a punishment. Of course there are some who know who just don't care, and decide to take the chance and risk it.

Don't know about Sony but with Steam losing account it is not. You get banned from activating any new keys or purchasing anything on their store.
I guess under legal scrutiny it would become clear how anti-consumer and possibly illegal some small print in those user agreements is.

Your account can be terminated for both Sony and Steam for using a VPN to purchase things on the store to bypass region restrictions. You are correct about the part where you can be banned that is one of the things that can happen, but account termination can happen for this as well. As I mentioned termination is the more extreme side of things.
