Some people have always been isolated despite having "friends". Technology is just intensifying that a bit. It's people and technology. I'm a loner anyways, though. Ask someone else, here's a bump.

While it's interesting seeing your point of view, I think that first sentence should be amended to say "people like me" and not just "people" (as in general). Given where we are right now reading/writing this though, you may very well be among similar peers, however this place is just a very very small (and very specific) sub-sample of a much larger world.

People (in general) have the capacity to isolate themselves, and people (in general) do sometimes isolate themselves in relatively small bursts.

Either way you'll get hit by a car because you didn't look left or right before crossing the street.

It's very well presented and raises an issue that I think will absolutely be true for many people. Hearing that or the realization of it is going to be uncomfortable for some though, and thus they may be in denial. Technology does make it significantly easier and 'convenient' to isolate oneself though (whether deliberately or not), and as it is often said, the key lies in moderation. Admittedly, the fact that you've gotten an answer from me perhaps means that I sometimes spend too much of that time on here..... at least I'm aware of it though =P

I seriously think he's borrowing ideas from a lot of other creative content like the movie disconnected

Seriously, the music even sounds extremely similar with the film's score.

This is stupid. Some of the most fun I've had in my whole life has been just sitting down, turning on my Xbox, and playing some Halo with friends. He claims that life is only meaningful when you're with other people, and this is true, but would we ever give up the technological advances we have today for a life full of personal meaning? We landed people on the moon. The moon for God's sake! We have man-made objects floating in space, we've altered the way DNA operates, and we have eliminated large-scale warfare. How? Technology. That which this man says will destroy our lives. Who knows if your tinkering with your phone could one day lead to the next greatest technological advancement?
