Steam account - Query account by CD key

same here 3 mails already in 2days :/

Basically nothing to be afraid. Just a bunch of cd-keys you used from public giveaways with visible keys.

Did you get one of your recent keys from a public place?

Personally I got one message like that recently, but it's nothing to worry about.

Same, I will change my every account password connected to my email adress. Some hackers are working hard lately I guess.

Don't worry about it, no one is getting your account email or password. It's probably just a random bot who is checking all keys that were posted on a public giveaway.

At first I did get creeped out by that, but then I realised there's really no way for them to even know which e-mail address it was sent to, so I should be safe.

As long as you have mobile authentication activated, they can query all the damn keys they want and never get your account so don't worry about it. If you're not using mobile auth, you should seriously consider it. I, like many others, was not a fan at first but it has proven to be an asset for myself.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that, yes, I have received the same emails numerous times throughout the day yesterday.

I had about 8 of those in the last 2 days.

Probably some trolls or bots at work, nothing to be concerned about.

Same here. Seems someone is bored and is just query spamming all day.

Got about 6 or 7 of those recently. I'm glad that I just got my Steam guard working again.

got one of those yesterday too.. no biggie though.

Got one today. It's a spike for me, didn't receive any in months...

Got 3 of those in the last 24h.

I am not worried that someone will hack my account. 2FA, Steam Guard, Mobile Auth is on, also for the Email-Account. My thoughts went in the direction of revoking keys from the grey market. Which, of course, no one ever buys from ;)
I find it very interesting tho, that I am not the only one and that quite a bunch of users are hammered with those emails, all starting just three days ago. Something strange is going on :)

looks like a leaked database somewhere... but why would someone click on "send email" if the key is used??

About 10 in the last 72 hours. Quite annoying.

Got two of them. A friend posted on Steam that he got five of them during the last 24 hours.

I have not got any e-mails though once in a blue moon I have got one.I have a funny feeling this impacts game hoarders more then those who do not collect a lot of games.

I checked profiles of people who posted and most have a lot of games something though is going on.Maybe a data breach at IG or something?So they are trying to maybe check which keys have been used or something?Though it seems nothing to be to alarmed about at least just the e-mails themselves.
