double keys

what would happen if i activated a key for a game i already had? for example i bought deus ex human revolution when it was sale a while back and i bought the ten dollar deal pack on amazon. what would happen if i activated the said key that i got?

nothing will happen, it will say you already own that game and the key won't be used

Except if he doesn't have the augmented edition, in which case the key will be linked to his account for the bonus stuff, and the game itself lost.

The Augmented Edition is crap, it just allows you to download some artwork and digital comic book about Deus Ex and some commentary about the game.

Waste of a key.

Well, you won't "lost" the game, but you won't recieve another copy. You will obtain the Augmented Edition extra content and keep your original game. So it's like you paid/bought the amazon key only for the extra stuff. Just trying to make things look crystal clear.

The key will not be claimed, unless it is somehow a key that you can upgrade an existing game with.
