I noticed its on sale for only 5 bucks and was wondering if its worthwhile. I've read reviews and they all seem pretty positive. On the other hand, it seems somewhat repetitive. Anyone particularly disappointed in this game, or is it really that great?

I think its worth it. It's a one time experience though, no re-playability.

I'd save those 5 bucks for something else though.

One of the most memorable games I've ever played. The environments, the fluid gameplay, the soundtrack, it all comes together to create such an unforgettable experience.

Buy it now, you won't regret it for $5.

And the story, theming, and FEEL of it all.

It proves you don't need a dark and gritty world, to create a dark and threatening atmosphere.

Loved the art-style and atmosphere/music.

Level design didn't feel repetitive to me, instead a worthy challenge. Other games got to easy nowadays.

Not being a big fan of first-person shooters I started Mirror's Edge for the first time just out of boredom. At first I kinda liked the design and colours, but then I got into this parkour thing. This game has its own unique atmosphere, when you're alone on the rooftops, the sounds of the busy city are heard in the distance somewhere down below. There's not a lot of shooting involved, it's mostly running/jumping/climbing, occasionally some unarmed combat, and rarely you have a chance to shoot. The game has an amazing soundtrack. The story was alright, but nothing special, just something to keep the right mood. Such were my impressions. I highly recommend it to you even if you're not a fan of first-person shooters.

Pretty much why I liked it too. I bought it retail and I loved it and I bought it on steam too, even though I haven't touched it yet.

Its something else... graphic style is cool, concept is great but its pretty repetitive and the re-playability is bad. So if you wanna try something new and like parcour and you like to beat your own times in some trials - why not? 5 bucks...

A couple months ago EA sent out an email to people signed up to receive emails from them. The email was for a coupon with $20 any purchase of $19.99 or more and Mirror's Edge was $19.99, so I was lucky enough to get it for free. I really enjoyed the game and highly recommend it because it has a unique theme.

One of my favourite games of all time, DICE did really good job on the game, i hope they will fix the problems in ME 2 :), the multiplayer is fun too

Like everyone else said, I think it's pretty good - It's not the best game I've ever played, but it is very much a different experience, in a good way. What really struck me about it is the environment of the game. The colours are striking and purposeful and the level design elegant. Easily one of my favourite level design and art styles in gaming ever. It does get a little repetitive towards the end, but the game's strengths far surpasses it's flaws, in my opinion.

It's a different game. The way it presents the maps, they seem vivid. The music fits in right. Your character feels alive. Running through the maps quickly can give a rush. I would love to see Mirror's Edge 2.
