I'm actually tempted to give this a try at this price point even though people generally say it's trash. Buying a Ubisoft game on EGS would have the additional positive effect of not having to use EGS while simultaneously robbing them of $10 Fortnite money.

Can anyone verify that we're able to "activate" the games on Uplay still as it used to be working?

Do you have a source for that because that definitely not how it used to work?

As for the robbing. The only one who would be making any money on this sale is Ubisoft which seems appropriate

Edit: I've been looking into this now and this is just misinformation as far as I can tell. There are no indications that you need to have both clients for Ubisoft games.

How so? I bought several Uplay games on EGS and always only needed to activate the games once, by (re)connecting the accounts.

Well I bought Division 2, The Crew 2, AC Odyssey and some Far Cry title via EGS and none requires anything but Uplay to play them.

Thank you for confirming that it most likely still works like this. Any thoughts on The Crew 2 worth sharing? I'd rather have it on XBL but it's still too expensive for me at well beyond $20

I only played it for about 3-4h. It is good, if you enjoyed their previous games. I'd suggest to get Forza, but if price matters this deal probably offers the best value.
The Gold Edition isn't really worth it though. It only offers a boost, nothing else of relevance.

Damn, that sounds bad for a Gold Edition. Oh well, it's the same price as buying just the Standard Edition on Uplay so I might just go for it if I decide I need to give it a try right now. I'll probably wait for deeper sales on XBL though. Can't say that I'm a big fan of The original game.

I have to agree on Forza. The only downside is that it tends to ruin every other arcade racer for me being as superior as it is. I recently bought Gravel and Grid on deep sale and they are very inferior in almost every regard.

I have few ubisoft games on EGS, they just have to connected with Ubisoft launcher.
Then you can play the games on Ubisoft itself without opening EGS.

Played it during a free weekend on Stadia last week. It was mostly fun. Didn't get too deep into the progression systems, but was able to pick up a few different vehicles including a light cycle within a few days (you have to play more to then upgrade the vehicle components to max spec though). Good times interacting with other players, too.

Reminded me a lot of Burnout Paradise, minus the spectacular crashes, but with a wider variety of scenery. Missed out on a five dollar deal after a coupon for Gold, and will definitely pick it up if that opportunity presents itself again. I'd say it's roughly worth a tenner, more if you can afford it, less if you can't.
